Take a Summer Detour With All New Programming on Travel Channel

Network premieres six exciting shows beginning June 1

(Chevy Chase, Md.) - Travel Channel launches a fresh summer line up of new shows all the way through Labor Day. Join our most popular hosts, and a cast of new personalities, for over 60 hours of original programming featuring great characters and memorable stories. Journey with us to the white sands of Costa Rica, Navy Seal training in Virginia Beach, the wineries of Napa Valley, the exotic restricted locale of Cuba and the must-see truck stop located in the heartland of America. Whether it's exploring the most delicious local favorites in cities across the country, creating a masterpiece out of sand, escaping for the weekend on a "mancation," or opening your mind to the possibility that ghosts exist, Travel Channel's summer slate takes viewers where they want to go.

New Series:

MAN V. FOOD NATION - Man v. Food host Adam Richman, returns on Wednesday, June 1 at 9:00 p.m. where he uncovers unbelievable food, local legends and daunting challenges throughout this new 24-part series. This time his "nation" of fans (including the Harlem Globetrotters and country duo LoCash Cowboys) get the chance to step up to the plate and join the fun. And Adam is now expert, mentor and cheerleader - grooming a new generation of food lovers as only he can.

SAND MASTERS - Premiering with back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, June 1 at 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., an incredible team of artists travel across the globe to create unimaginable, massive structures made from sand. The SAND MASTERS build colossal works of art from sand while battling seemingly insurmountable challenges - unpredictable weather, wildly ambitious designs and overly demanding clients. In the premiere episode, the artists head to Miami, Fla. to create a sand sculpture for the opening night of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, helping celebrate PT Barnum's 200th birthday. Next, the team journeys to beautiful Costa Rica to create a one-of-a-kind, coffee-themed sand masterpiece to celebrate the international launch of a local coffee company.

MANCATIONS - Premiering Sunday, June 5 at 9:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., MANCATIONS follows comedians and real life best friends, Evan Mann and Gareth Reynolds, as they set out on the road to discover what makes the best MANCATIONS - the ultimate guy weekend - a time to get away from the daily grind, cut loose and make a lot of noise. This series will take viewers to places as diverse as Mancation Nation in Ariz., where men fire automatic weapons; to Space Camp in Huntsville, Ala., where boyhood dreams become a reality through shuttle simulators and centrifuge training; to Virginia Beach for Seal Training, where Navy Seals give the boys a serious whooping as they test their mental and physical limits.

PARANORMAL CHALLENGE - Zak is back! On Friday, June 17 at 9:00 p.m., two teams of passionate ghost hunters compete against each other during an overnight lockdown in a legendary haunted location to see who can collect the most paranormal evidence. Hosted by Ghost Adventures' lead investigator, Zak Bagans, this series challenges amateur paranormal investigators to prove their skills while investigating hotspots with high-tech gear. After collecting evidence, the teams present their findings to Bagans and a panel of three nationally recognized paranormal experts who will decide the winner of the paranormal challenge.

TRUCK STOP MISSOURI - Premiering Wednesday, July 27 at 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., TRUCK STOP MO features Midway Truck stop - a playground for truckers and tourists located halfway between St. Louis and Kansas City on interstate 70. Not only a place to fuel up and grab a bite to eat - it's also a hotel, tattoo parlor, antique mall, firework store, and haunted house, all in one. This multi-use location is filled with quirky characters and not-to-be-believed stories that make it a favorite destination for a Midwestern rendezvous, fraternity party or wedding.

SCREAM IF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER - Now Bert isn't the one screaming! Beginning Sunday, August 7 at 8:00 p.m., Bert the Conqueror host and thrill seeker, Bert Kreischer, challenges contestants to answer trivia questions, word games, charades and memory games all while riding amusement park thrill rides. This show literally takes the average game show to new heights.

Returning Series:

BIZARRE FOODS WITH ANDREW ZIMMERN - Travel Channel will premiere new episodes of Zimmern's long-running series beginning Tuesday, May 24 at 9:00 p.m. This season, Zimmern takes a personal journey to find meaningful connections to people and their cuisine. He heads home to New York City where he pounds out noodles made from scratch in Chinatown, perfects pasta with octopus and bone marrow at one of the city's best restaurants and secretly waits tables while donning a disguise. In Washington, DC's Embassy Row, Zimmern goes around the world in 60 minutes: dining on curried pig's feet at the Indonesian Embassy, stomaching stinky fermented fish in a can at the Embassy of Sweden and sitting down for a dish made with horse meat with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan.

ANTHONY BOURDAIN: NO RESERVATIONS - As he continues to explore every corner of the globe on his Emmy award winning Travel Channel series, Anthony Bourdain visits off the grid locations that challenge him with a better understanding of human existence and the underlying stories behind a locale's traditional cuisine. On Monday, July 11 at 9:00PM, ANTHONY BOURDAIN: NO RESERVATIONS takes viewers to Cuba, where Anthony develops a heightened awareness for the local culture, characters and cuisine that define this restricted region.
