LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Lifetime is giving "Project Runway" a new home as season nine of the veteran competition series will premiere Wednesday, July 27 at 9:00/8:00c, the cable channel confirmed this morning.
"Runway" last aired on Wednesday nights in 2008, its final season on Bravo. The past three cycles have aired on Thursday nights.
Leading out of 90-minute episodes of "Runway" will be newcomer "Russian Dolls" (formerly "Brighton Beach"). The half-hour entry follows the colorful women and men who live, love and work in the famous Brooklyn neighborhood.
Lifetime also announced two other reality premieres for July: "Dance Moms" and "Roseanne's Nuts." The latter, featuring the comedian's efforts to manage a fully-functional 40-acre macadamia and livestock farm in Hawaii, will premiere with back-to-back half-hour episodes on Thursday, July 14 at 10:00/9:00c. It'll be joined by the hour-long "Dance Moms," about the stage moms in the world of competitive dance, the following week (July 21) at 9:00/8:00c.
And rounding out the month will be the previously announced original biopic "Magic Beyond Words: The J.K. Rowling Story" on Monday, July 18 at 8:00/7:00c. Poppy Montgomery stars as the much-ballyhooed author.
