First Original Book Based On Hit USA Network Series "Royal Pains" Hits Shelves This June
"Royal Pains" Returns for Third Season Wednesday, June 29 (9-10 p.m. ET)
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 15, 2011 - The NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group and Penguin Group (USA) Inc., are marking the the third season return of USA Network's hit series "Royal Pains" with the release of the original book "Royal Pains: First, Do No Harm" in June. The first original book based on the series will focus on Dr. Hank Lawson (series star Mark Feuerstein) and one of his elite and most cherished clients.

"Royal Pains: First, Do No Harm" tells the story of the Hampton's aristocrat Eleanor Parker Wentworth. With her granddaughter's wedding approaching, Wentworth has become quite stressed. However after meeting the bride-to-be at a pre-wedding party, Hank grows concerned when Eleanor shows no recognition of him later that same day. Hank is left to wonder if it is just wedding-day jitters -- or something much more serious. With an A-list crowd waiting for the walk down the aisle, Hank will have to think fast and work faster before the wedding march turns into a funeral dirge.
Author D.P. Lyle, M.D., is the Macavity Award-winning and Edgar Award-nominated author of several non-fiction books such as "Forensics for Dummies," "Murder & Mayhem," and "Forensics & Fiction." He has also written several thriller novels such as "Devil's Playground," "Double Blind," and "Stress Fracture."
USA will premiere the third season of "Royal Pains" on Wednesday, June 29 (9-10 p.m. ET). In "Royal Pains," Feuerstein ("In Her Shoes," "Good Morning, Miami") as Dr. Hank Lawson, the "doctor for hire" for all of the Hamptons. The series also stars Paulo Costanzo ("Road Trip"), Reshma Shetty (NBC's "30 Rock") and Jill Flint ("The Good Wife"). "Royal Pains" is written and executive-produced by Andrew Lenchewski and Michael Rauch. Rich Frank also serves as executive producer along with Paul Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz from Prospect Park. The series comes from Universal Cable Productions. "Royal Pains" films entirely in New York (Long Island and Brooklyn) and at locations around the Hamptons.
The series' recurring cast includes: multiple Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actor Henry Winkler, who renews his role as Eddie R. Lawson, Hank and Evan's father; Campbell Scott ("Six Degrees") as Boris; Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole ("Grey Gardens") as Mrs. Newberg, and Brooke D'Orsay as Paige. Third-season guest stars include Ed Asner, Julie Benz, Shiri Appleby and Greg Jennings.
