Three hit HISTORY series mix it up in two-hour crossover event...
THE PICK, THE PAWN & THE POLISH
Premieres Monday, July 11 from 9-11pm EST on HISTORY (R)
NEW YORK, Thursday, June 23, 2011 - In the world of antiques and collectibles, you never know what will turn up, and it takes a sharp eye to spot something truly special. But market value is only part of what makes an item priceless. As HISTORY viewers know - thanks to American Pickers, Pawn Stars and American Restoration - every piece of Americana holds a story about the history of our country and how we lived.
All three series in HISTORY's wildly popular "trash-to-treasure" strand will intersect in THE PICK, THE PAWN & THE POLISH, premiering Monday, July 11 at 9pm EST on HISTORY. In this special two-hour crossover event, the colorful characters who populate these hit series work together to find, purchase and bring back to life the ultimate American artifact - a rare model 1957 Chevy. It's a jaw-dropping job with an impossible deadline, and only a miracle can help them complete it in time.
It all begins when American Pickers Mike and Frank are on the road in Arizona when they get a call from Danielle about a high-profile client, Pawn Stars' Rick Harrison. Rick wants a particular model of the classic '57 Chevy for the Old Man's 70th birthday. The problem is he wants the rare vehicle fast in order to have time to restore it. After some dead ends, Mike and Frank have good news and bad news: they've finally tracked down the car, but it needs a complete overhaul, inside and out.
The guys agree to meet at Rick Dale's restoration shop to inspect the dilapidated jalopy. Rick Harrison needs to know from Rick Dale how much a restoration will cost. Once he has this info, sparks fly as the American Pickers and the Pawn Stars get into tough negotiations. Can they close a deal and make this car look and drive like new in time for the Old Man's party?
