CBS TELEVISION DISTRIBUTION SIGNS EMMY-WINNING 'SURVIVOR' HOST JEFF PROBST TO DEVELOP A FIRST-RUN TALK SHOW FOR FALL 2012

LOS ANGELES - June 27, 2011 - CBS Television Distribution has signed Jeff Probst, the Emmy Award-winning host of CBS's "Survivor," to develop a first-run talk show, slated to debut in Fall 2012, it was announced today by John Nogawski, President of CTD.

The one-hour, daytime talk show will cover topics ranging from newsmakers of the day to families and individuals facing challenges.

"There's no one else in daytime TV like Jeff Probst. He is interested in finding the answers to the same questions our audience is asking, which makes him relatable to both women and men," Nogawski said. "Jeff's unique perspective and curiosity about human nature, combined with our track record of success with the #1 and #2 talk shows for years, is going to make this show a must buy for the Fall of 2012. We are thrilled to be working on Jeff's next success story and drawing from his experience on the hit prime-time show 'Survivor.' "

"Anyone who has seen Jeff on 'Survivor' knows how he connects with people, and has an instinct that makes him a natural and compelling host for daytime. With the same adventure Jeff approaches his own life, the show will take the same path. Whether it's a newsmaker-of-the-day, a celebrity or ordinary folks, Jeff will go further than typical discussion. The show will cover a range of topics from relationships to human interest. And like Jeff, the show will encourage action, change and discovery. We are very fortunate to have him," said Aaron Meyerson, President of Programming and Development for CTD.

"I'm fascinated with human nature and thrilled that this show will allow me the opportunity to connect with real people and explore their stories on a personal level," Probst said. "As I continue with 'Survivor,' I am excited to extend my relationship with CBS with this new adventure in the world of daytime."

Probst has hosted all 22 editions of CBS's reality hit "Survivor" since its inception 11 seasons ago, and is currently an executive producer. He is a three-time Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Reality Host, the only winner since the award was created in 2008. "Survivor" also won the first-ever Outstanding Non-Fiction Program (Special Class) Emmy in 2001.

Probst is a regular fill-in for Regis Philbin on "Live With Regis and Kelly." He also was a regular guest host for Larry King on "Larry King Live." He also hosts the "Howard Stern Celebrity Fan Roundtable" for Howard Stern on Sirius/XM radio.
