ABC News will broadcast live coverage of President Barack Obama's remarks regarding the ongoing debt talks, TONIGHT, MONDAY, JULY 25. The President is scheduled to speak at approximately 9:00 p.m., ET from the East Room. In addition, ABC News will broadcast live coverage of the Republican response by Speaker John Boehner, approximately two minutes after the President concludes. ABC News Chief Political Correspondent and co-anchor of "Good Morning America" George Stephanopoulos will anchor the special report from ABC News Headquarters in New York.
ABCNews.com will live stream the President's remarks and the Republican response. ABC's political team will provide reporting and analysis of both addresses at ABCNews.com/Politics.
ABC News Radio will provide live coverage anchored by Aaron Katersky beginning at approximately 9:00 p.m., ET. Katersky will be joined by ABC News Radio White House correspondent Ann Compton at the White House.
ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliate news service, will report on both the President and Speaker's remarks for ABC affiliates and international partners.
Note: ABC Television Network will slide primetime programming scheduled to air during this time period in affected markets to begin following this special coverage. Therefore, ABC will re-join primetime programming ("The Bachelorette") at the same point it was interrupted by the special report. The start times of "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition," late local news, "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" will be pushed later.
