New York, NY (August 11, 2011) - MTV announced today that Bruno Mars is set to take his talents to the "2011 MTV Video Music Awards" stage as the latest artist added to this year's amazing lineup of VMA performers. With this performance and four VMA nominations including "Video of the Year," the multi-talented singer, musician, songwriter and producer continues to add to an extraordinary year of achievements that include: his multi-platinum certified debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, co-writing, producing and performing on the smash-hits B.o.B's "Nothin' On You," Travie McCoy's "Billionaire" and Cee Lo Green's "F***k You! (Forget You)" as well as his hit singles, "Just The Way You Are," "Grenade" and "The Lazy Song." Additionally, the first round of 2011 VMA presenters have been announced from the world of music and pop culture including: Jonah Hill from the upcoming film Moneyball, the Teflon Don aka The Boss Rick Ross, Seth Rogen from the movie 50/50, platinum recording artist and Emmy Award-winning actress Selena Gomez, Keeping Up With The Kardashians very own Kim Kardashian, and hip-hop's most innovative alternative collective, Odd Future.

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards will be available to a potential viewing audience of more than 1.2 billion people via MTV's global network of more than 60 channels reaching more than 640 million households around the world as well as through syndication. In addition, its convergent programming and content will reach the entire interactive community, via MTV's nearly 200 digital media properties around the world.
The 2010 VMAs averaged a 10.0 P12-34 rating and 11.4 million total viewers, marking the network's best deliveries for any MTV telecast since the 2002 VMAs (8/29/02) as well as making it the third most watched telecast in MTV's history.
