DESIGNER SABRINA SOTO REVEALS HOW TO MAKE HIGH-END STYLE AFFORDABLE IN "THE HIGH LOW PROJECT"
New York, N.Y. [For Immediate Release - August 15, 2011] Designer Sabrina Soto proves that room design can look luxurious without a steep price tag in her new series, The High Low Project. During the series, premiering Saturday, September 3, at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT, Sabrina will create a homeowners' dream room with exquisite - but expensive - furniture, wall coverings, window treatments, art and accessories. She then will replace the high-end items with budget-friendly finds that replicate the opulent look without sacrificing style.
"Viewers will get a chance to step inside a fantasy high-end room design in The High Low Project," said Kathleen Finch, general manager, HGTV. "Sabrina's smart design ideas and practical money-saving tips will amaze audiences, especially when they see how simple it is to get that look for less."
In the premiere episode, Sabrina works with homeowners Courtney and Nissa Booker to give them the bedroom of their dreams. After Sabrina determines the couple's design tastes, she creates a beautiful bedroom complete with the classic, cozy atmosphere they requested, along with a new home office. The Booker's love the design - until Sabrina reveals that the look costs more than $31,000. The pressure is on for Sabrina to recreate the look, including the lush fabrics, an antique dresser and luxury bedding, for a budget of just $4,500.
Each week, Sabrina will demonstrate how viewers can make their upscale design dreams a reality. Throughout the series, she will reveal creative shopping techniques, do-it-yourself ideas to transform dime store finds into chic decor and luxe ways to give a room high style through layering, texture and sumptuous finishing touches.
