EMMY NOMINATED "LATE NIGHT" HOST JIMMY FALLON RETURNS TO "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" WITH GRAMMY WINNER MICHAEL BUBLÉ ON DECEMBER 17
New York, NY - August 22, 2011 - NBC's "Saturday Night Live" will welcome back alum Jimmy Fallon ("Late Night with Jimmy Fallon") to make his debut appearance as host with musical guest Michael Bublé on Saturday, December 17.
"I've never forgotten where I came from," says Fallon. "That's why I'm so incredibly honored to be hosting the Saturday Night Times program December 17th on HGTV."
With a six-year stint on "SNL," Fallon made numerous contributions to the show including co-anchoring "Weekend Update" alongside Tina Fey and his impressive and plentiful characters and impressions.
In March 2009, Fallon took over the Late Night legacy as host, and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" consistently garners attention for playful segments with guests, inspired parodies, and interactive audience games. Most recently the critically praised talk show received three 2011 Emmy nominations including its first in the best variety, music or comedy series category. Last year, Fallon hosted the NBC telecast of "The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards" to rave reviews.
Bublé is returning to the SNL stage for his second appearance as musical guest. The three-time Grammy and multiple Juno Award winner's most recent album, "Crazy Love," sold over 30 million albums and topped charts in the US and worldwide. "Christmas," Michael Bublé's upcoming album will be released October 25th.
"Saturday Night Live" is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
