FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER (NBC, New!) - Greg Daniels ("The Office") is looking to import the U.K. comedy, about the Goodmans, "a traditional but not strictly observant Jewish family, and chronicles their Shabbat dinners." Robert Popper was behind the original incarnation, which currently airs on BBC America. Daniels and Howard Klein will then executive produce the domestic take for Universal Media Studios, although it's unclear if he'll write the script or supervise someone else. Big Talk Productions ("Free Agents") is also producing. (Deadline.com)
HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) - Peter M. Lenkov has signed a three-year overall deal with CBS Television Studios. The pact, financial details of which weren't released, covers his duties on the studio-based procedural as well as calls for him to develop additional series projects. (Variety.com)
LIE TO ME (FOX) - Tim Roth has inked a talent holding/development deal with producer 20th Century Fox Television. The pact calls for the studio to develop a new series project for the actor, who will also develop his own properties on a first-look basis. (Deadline.com)
MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE (TNT) - Co-creator Mike Royce has inked an overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. There he'll develop new series projects for the studio as well as potentially join one of its existing properties. No financial details were given. (Variety.com)
THE SEVEN WONDERS (ABC, New!) - Matthew Reilly's best-selling Australian action thriller is being developing as a drama at the Alphabet by frequent collaborators Michael Seitzman and Mark Gordon. Said hour tracks "an unlikely five-member team led by commando-turned-archeologist Jack West Jr. as they search the world for seven pieces of an ancient and powerful relic and along the way form a unique non-traditional family that includes West Jr.'s 12-year-old adopted daughter." Seitzman will pen the pilot to the project, the first season of which would cover the series' first two books. ABC Studios and the Mark Gordon Co., which are also behind Seitzman's "Americana," are producing. (Deadline.com)
WANDERLUST (FOX, New!) - Patrick Sean Smith ("Greek") has booked a new drama at the network set in the world of young international travelers. No other specifics were given about the project, which is set up at 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television. (TVLine.com)
WASTELAND (TNT, New!) - Mick Davis ("Eleventh Hour") is developing a new drama at the cable channel about "a U.S. marshal in the American Southwest who is charged with hunting down the supernatural escapees on the run following a federal prison break." FremantleMedia North America and Landscape Entertainment are co-producing the hour with Robert C. Cooper and J.J. Jamieson executive producing alongside Davis and Jordan Helman serving as a co-executive producer. (Variety.com)
WINGING IT (ABC, New!) - Ron Bass and Jen Smolka have booked a potential "Hitch"-esque drama at the Alphabet about "a disparate but lovable group of expert relationship coaches (wingmen) as they struggle to bridge the gap that technology has built between people." ABC Studios and the Mark Gordon Co. are behind the project, which Gordon will executive produce alongside the duo. (Deadline.com)
