NEW YORK, NY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2011 - It's no secret that everything celebrity event planner David Tutera touches turns to gold, transforming a bride's wedding vision into a stunning, sparkling reality. For a bride-to-be, seeing David on her doorstep is summed up in one word: Hallelujah! And this is only the beginning! Sit back and sink into wedding makeover 'euphoria when season five of WE tv's hit series MY FAIR WEDDING WITH DAVID TUTERA premieres on Sunday, November 13 at 9pm ET/PT. With 18 hour-long episodes this season, the stakes are even higher as David works his magic in more ways than one. As he rolls up his sleeves in preparation for each wedding takeover, David discovers there's more to each bride than meets the eye. Whether she wants a shabby chic-themed wedding, entirely goth ceremony, picnic or dragonfly décor, it's up to David to uncover what she's really trying to say and translate that into a glamorous, stylish and unforgettable affair. Season five opens with a very special wedding by way of the Make-A-Wish Foundation(R), and the generosity of one bride's son giving back to his mother.
With a reputation for creating magic, David puts the "Tutera touch" in effect and gets right down to business. Sitting down with the bride, he learns her style, likes and dislikes (including one's extreme aversion to the color white!) before taking over everything, creating her fairytale wedding in only three weeks time. For David, making the day extraordinarily special begins with understanding each bride's moving personal story ? which this season includes overcoming a stroke, an eating disorder, the loss of a child or parent and job loss, amongst others. Through design, David tells a unique tale of love, happiness, hope and dreams. More so, he reveals a newly transformed woman as she pursues the next chapter in her life.
This season on MY FAIR WEDDING WITH DAVID TUTERA:
SEASON PREMIERE
EPISODE 1: "MAKE-A-WISH(R) BRIDE"
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13 AT 9PM ET/PT
When bride Wendy's teenage son, Ryan, received a life-threatening cancer diagnosis, she and her fiancé put their wedding plans on hold to tend to his medical needs. Now, Ryan generously wants to pay his good fortune forward. Ryan asks the Make-A-Wish Foundation(R) to bring David Tutera to Topeka, Kansas for a very special "giveback" wish: to give his mom the long-awaited wedding of her dreams. As David steps in with the surprise, he has just six days to transform this wedding into a spectacular event that truly encompasses hope, generosity and life.
EPISODE 2: "FASHIONISTA BRIDE"
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20 AT 9PM ET/PT
Folshi's passion for fashion is so extreme that she spent nearly her entire wedding budget on a designer gown and shoes! With next to nothing left to spend on the rest of her wedding, this shopaholic bride wants a Marie-Antoinette look with rustic birch logs and confetti thrown in for good measure. It's David to the rescue, as he helps this good-hearted fashionista turn her wedding into a runway success...complete with a fashion show and one-of-a-kind designs.
EPISODE 3: "GOTH BRIDE"
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 27 AT 9PM ET/PT
When David meets bride Christina, he's shocked to learn she and her fiancé want an entire wedding of black to match their all-goth fashion lifestyle ? including a black bridal gown, black bridesmaids' dresses and even a black flower girl dress. Surrounded by skeletons, skulls, spiders and not a stitch of white, Christina's wedding feels more like a Halloween party. But when David steps in and takes Christina to a bridal shop filled with white dresses, she has an anxiety attack! If David is to make this bride happy and deliver the wedding she envisions, he needs to find out just what makes her tick.
EPISODE 4: "TUSCANY BRIDE"
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4 AT 9PM ET/PT
Bride Jane just loves Tuscany, Italy, and wants her romantic outdoor wedding to resemble it. But her vision of Tuscany is more than a little skewed, and her bright orange bridesmaids' dresses are only adding to the disaster. Worst of all, Jane, her fiancé and her father all just lost their jobs. With the wedding plans going up in smoke, David harnesses his skills to bring Tuscany to southern California and create the wedding of his bride's dreams.
EPISODE 5: "DRAGONFLY BRIDE"
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11 AT 9PM ET/PT
Having lost a child, bride Regina wants a dragonfly-themed wedding as a symbol of hope. However she is in need of a major overhaul: her mother's dress is already fraying and her bridesmaids' dresses are all different shades of green ? David's least favorite color for fashion. What's more, Regina and her fiancé are planning a backyard wedding with no food for the guests! First, David must convince this sweet-natured bride that she deserves every part of the garden wedding he's creating. Then, it's one surprise after another for Regina, culminating in an emotional fairytale wedding with larger-than-life entertainment.
EPISODE 6: "HOLLYWOOD GLAM BRIDE"
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 18 AT 9PM ET/PT
Bride Benita and her fiancé, Arlen, are both actors, and fittingly want a Hollywood glam wedding. But having procrastinated on all of the details, Benita's decorations are better suited for a child's birthday party. The 'Old Hollywood' glitz and glam are seemingly absent from this wedding. David steps in and takes his bride and groom back in time with wedding fashions from the '40s, '50s and '60s. Can he pull together a swinging, classy affair for this couple in time?
Additional upcoming episodes include: April in Paris Bride, Hawaiian Luau Bride, Shabby Chic Bride, Picnic Bride, Asian Fusion Bride, Motown Bride and more
