THE EYE (ABC, New!) - Edward Allen Bernero ("Criminal Minds") is developing a new drama at the Alphabet billed as "a Western with a paranormal twist set in 1871 Arizona and centered on a team of Pinkerton Detectives who search for answers to unexplained phenomena." Bernero will write and executive produce the hour via his ABC Studios-based Bernero Productions alongside Rob Kim. (Deadline.com)

FULL BURN (Comedy Central, New!) - Actor Matthew McConaughey is developing a new comedy at the cable channel "set in the world of professional stuntmen and centers on a fish-out-of-water everyman who gets pulled into their tight circle." Mike Arnold will pen the half-hour and executive prouduce alongside Chad Mountain and Mark Gustawes for McConaughey's J.K. Livin Productions. (Variety.com)

NOIR (Starz) - Sean Jablonski ("Suits") has been tapped as the new showrunner of the upcoming drama, about two young female assassins who embark together on a personal journey to seek answers about mysteries from their past. He'll take over from Steven Lightfoot, who penned the pilot script. There he'll serve alongside fellow executive producers Sam Raimi, Bob Tapert, Joshua Donen and Bill Hamm. (Deadline.com)

OUTSIDERS (The CW, New!) - Adam Glass ("Supernatural") has sold a new drama to the netlet about "a quirky sociology professor with an almost savant-like expertise in subcultures [who] is partnered with a young but uptight female detective and the pair solve crimes involving youths and subcultures in Los Angeles." Michael Bay is on board to executive produce the hour via his Platinum Dunes banner alongside Glass, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form for CBS Television Studios. (Variety.com)

THE PUNISHER (FOX, New!) - Edward Allen Bernero ("Criminal Minds") has snagged a put pilot order from the network for a drama featuring the Marvel Comics anti-hero of the same name. Said effort will revolve around Frank Castle, "a rising star detective with the New York Police Department who moonlights as the vigilante Punisher, seeking justice for those the system has failed." ABC Studios and Marvel Television will co-produce the hour with Bernero and his Bernero Productions partner Rob Kim executive producing. (Deadline.com)

SOMONE LIKE ME (ABC, New!) - "Wicked" songwriter/lyricist Stephen Schwartz and Five for Fighting singer/songwriter John Ondrasik are developing a new drama at the Alphabet about "the lives of two sisters: one is a singer-songwriter legend, the other forever in her shadow; their worlds collide as adults, sending their family and friends spinning - especially a 17-year-old girl whose own talents are exploding." Richard B. Lewis ("August Rush") and Karen Janszen ("A Dolphin Tale") are co-writing the ABC Studios-based hour, which was conceived by Schwartz, Ondrasik and Dawn Soler, senior VP of music at ABC. Ondrasik and Schwartz then will write original music for the series and executive produce alongside said group. (Variety.com)

UNTITLED HOBERTS PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Brothers Tim and Micheal Hobert have sold a new single-camera comedy to the Peacock, loosely based on their own experiences, about "Mike, a twentysomething man who lands a dream job as the assistant to a commercial director - his older brother Tim - only to learn that his job is mostly about keeping his brother's hectic home life running smoothly." Warner Bros. Television is behind the half-hour, which is the result of a script deal the former had with the studio. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - CBS is reportedly close to ordering full seasons of newcomers "Person of Interest" and "Unforgettable" (Deadline.com); Kathleen Rose Perkins will play a supportive lesbian friend of Zachary Quinto's Chad on "American Horror Story" (EW.com); Mitch Pileggi is set to recur on "Dallas" as the shipping magnate ex-husband of Brenda Strong's Ann (EW.com); Susan Lucci and Kelli Williams will turn up in two and seven episodes, respectively, on "Army Wives" as newcomers to the group (TVLine.com); plus the ever-busy Titus Welliver is bound for "CSI" as "a slick, arrogant and powerful military contractor" for multiple episodes later this season (TVLine.com).
