BEAUTIFUL GANGSTERS (ABC, New!) - Newcomer Ryan Tavlin is behind a potential new drama at the Alphabet about "three mafia wives who cut a deal with the FBI to enter Witness Protection together in exchange for their testimony, in the hopes of giving their families a second chance at life. The FBI relocates them to a suburban border town in Canada, where they struggle to fit in, struggle to make ends meet... and struggle to resist temptations to take criminal shortcuts." Landscape Entertainment, Rose Consulting Entertainment, Last Straw Productions and FremantleMedia Enterprises are all co-producing the hour, which would film in Canada and is being eyed for a summer run. Bob Cooper, J.J. Jamieson and Anthony LaPaglia then will executive produce with Jordan Helman serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
