AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE (Lifetime) - Jeffrey Nordling and Kacey Rohl have both joined the cast of the Melanie Griffith-led drama pilot, about Leila (Griffith), "a seemingly perfect housewife living the American Dream in an affluent neighborhood, married to wealthy up-and-coming politician Stanford (Nordling) with whom she has three grown or almost-grown children." Rohl then is set as their youngest child, Harper, "a high-school National Honor student who has a crush on one of her dad's campaign aides." Writer Erik Jendresen and director David Slade are behind the hour, which is set up at Fox Television Studios. Griffith, Jendresen, Antonio Banderas and Ray Ricord are the executive producers. BFF (A.K.A. UNTITLED BEN WEXLER PROJECT) (TBS) - Jay Malone and David Neher have booked the lead roles on the comedy pilot, about "a family man who quits his day job and returns to the neighborhood where he grew up. There, he reunites with his former best friend." Malone will play Mark, said family man, with Neher as Roland, the aforementioned friend. Ben Wexler, Ross Novie and Jay Rondot are behind the half-hour, which comes from Warner Horizon Television and Conan O'Brien's Conaco Productions. (Deadline.com)
BOOSTER GOLD (Syfy, New!) - Andrew Kreisberg ("Fringe") is looking to bring the DC Comics hero - "a washed-up athlete from the future who travels back to the present in hopes of becoming the greatest super hero of all time" - to the small screen. Eric Martsolf played the character during the final season of The CW's "Smallville." The new incarnation then comes from Warner Horizon Television with Berlanti Productions' Greg Berlanti executive producing alongside Kreisberg (THR.com)
BROAD CITY (FX, New!) - Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer's web series, about the misadventures of 20-something female best friends in New York City, is being developed for the small screen at the cable channel. The duo will write and star in the project, with Amy Poehler also serving as an executive producer alongside her manager, Dave Becky, and Jacobson and Glazer's manager Samantha Saifer. Nancy Pimenthal is also on board as supervising producer. (Deadline.com)
THE CORRECTIONS (HBO) - Ewan McGregor has joined the cast of the drama pilot, about "the troubles of a Midwestern couple (Chris Cooper and Dianne Wiest), and their three adult children as they trace their lives from the mid-20th century to one last Christmas together near the turn of the millennium. He'll play Chip, "the middle child, a Marxist academic who lost his tenure-track position over an affair with a student and now works for a Lithuanian crime boss defrauding American investors." Noah Baumbach and Jonathan Franzen co-wrote the hour, which Baumbach is attached to direct and executive produce alongside Franzen and Scott Rudin. (Deadline.com)
CREW SIX (ABC) - Cuba Gooding Jr. has been tapped to star in the telefilm, about "a counselor at a youth detention facility who trains kids to battle forest fires and assist the public during other natural disasters." Terrence Howard was previously approached to topline the Hallmark Hall of Fame project, from director Darnell Martin ("Cadillac Records") and writer Ligiah Villa-lobos ("Under the Same Moon"). Production begins later this month in Atlanta. (Variety.com)
GOLDDIGGER (The CW, New!) - Newcomer Lauren Horowitz has booked a new drama at the netlet about "a young female treasure hunter who tracks down artifacts for a variety of mysterious and interesting clients." Bill Haber's Ostar Productions is behind the hour, which he'll executive produce alongside Horowitz and Stephanie Germain. (Deadline.com)
ON WE GO (USA) - Caroline Rhea, Richard Kohnke and Laura Bell Bundy have all landed roles on the Nathan Lane-led comedy pilot, about Jasper (Lane), an unlucky actor whose Broadway aspirations must be put on hold when his father's (Ken Jenkins) health takes a turn for worse, forcing him to return to his Texas hometown. Rhea will play his sister Emilia with Kohnke as her son. Bundy then will guest as the wife of Jasper's new friend Tim (Cheyenne Jackson). Douglas McGrath is behind the half-hour, which comes from Universal Cable Productions. (Deadline.com)
SWORDFIGHTING (The CW, New!) - Ben McMillan and Josh Greenbaum are on track to book a new comedy at the netlet about "two young couples who have been best friends and neighbors for years and whose friendship is put to the test when the two wives reveal they've fallen in love (with each other)." CBS Television Studios is behind the potential half-hour with Storyline Entertainment's Craig Zadan and Neil Meron executive producing alongside the duo. (Deadline.com)
TAXI 22 (HBO) - Brett C. Leonard ("Hung") has been tapped to pen the potential James Gandolfini-led comedy, about "a politically incorrect cab driver in NYC struggling to keep his life together." The news marks the third such writer for the project, the others being Dave Flebotte and Kenneth Lonergan. Said half-hour is based on Patrick Huard and Francois Flamand's French Canadian series, which airs on the Quebec-based TVA. Gandolfini, Leonard, Dennis Erdman, Clark Peterson, Nancy Sanders and Mark Armstrong then will executive produce via the former's Attaboy Productions. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JEFF EASTIN PROJECT (USA) - Vanessa Ferlito has joined the cast of the drama pilot, which follows agents from various federal and local agencies (DEA, FBI, LAPD) who all live at an undercover house in Southern California. She'll play of the them, Catherine "Charlie" Lopez, "a very attractive and strong-willed DEA agent." Aaron Tveit also stars in the Fox Television Studios-based project, from creator Jeff Eastin. UNTITLED SARAH SILVERMAN PROJECT (NBC) - Sarah Silverman's potential comedy vehicle at the Peacock, about "a woman readjusting to the single life after a decade-long live-in relationship," has been greenlit to pilot. Silverman, Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder are behind the single-camera half-hour, which is set up at 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television. Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo then will executive produce alongside Silverman and Sterling with Schroeder serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)

Thyne's Jack Hodgins (TVLine.com); Gale Anne Hurd and her Valhalla Entertainment have optioned Annie Jacobsen's book "Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base" for a potential TV series with Karl Gajdusek on board to pen the script (Deadline.com).
