SYFY WILL CELEBRATE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH SATURDAY ORIGINAL MOVIE "SNOWMAGEDDON"
PREMIERES SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10 AT 9PM
NEW YORK - November 22, 2011 - To usher in the holiday season, Syfy will present a snow globe with the power to destroy the world in the Saturday Original Movie Snowmageddon, airing Saturday, December 10 at 9PM (ET/PT) during the channel's second annual Countdown to Christmas Week.
Starring Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica), David Cubitt (Medium) and Magda Apanowicz (Caprica), the Christmas-themed Snowmageddon is about a mystical snow globe that makes very bad things happen in the real world when it is shaken. The movie is a production of Cinetel.
Halloween's Zombie Apocalypse, the first film in Syfy's new slate of holiday-oriented movies, became the most watched Saturday Original Movie of the year among Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 during its October 29 premiere.
Following Snowmageddon, Syfy's next holiday movie will be a St. Patrick's Day-themed Leprechaun movie, debuting on St. Patrick's Day, Saturday, March 17, 2012.
