THE CLIENT LIST (Lifetime) - Rebecca Field ("October Road") has joined the cast of the upcoming drama, about Riley (Jennifer Love Hewitt), a Texas housewife, who, after being deserted by her husband, is left in deep financial straits and takes a job at a seemingly traditional day spa where massages aren't the only services on the menu. She'll play Lacey, Riley's best friend since high school. Jordan Budde is behind the hour, which Hewitt, Dannielle Thomas, Howard Braunstein and Efrem Seeger are executive producing for Sony Pictures Television and Fedora Films. (Deadline.com)
LITTLE BROTHER (FOX) - Rosa Salazar ("Parenthood") is the latest addition to the comedy pilot, about "a man who finds out that he has a half-brother (T.J. Miller) he never knew about who also happens to be an ex-con." She'll play the cashier/clerk at the other brother's music store in the 20th Century Fox Television-based half-hour, which comes from Mike Royce. Becky Clements, Fintan Ryan, Jimmy Mulville, Marty Adelstein and Michael Thorn also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JOSH WOLF PROJECT (FOX, New!) - "Chelsea Lately" fixture Josh Wolf is set to topline a potential comedy at the network about his early years as a single father of three and a full-time stand-up comic. He'll also co-write the half-hour alongside Spike Feresten and Michael Morris. UNTITLED RUSSELL BRAND ANIMATED PROJECT (FX, New!) - Actor/comedian Russell Brand has booked a second project at the cable channel, an animated comedy loosely based on Brand's life in his 20s with Brand himself voicing the lead character. Dan Fybel and Rich Rinaldi ("Bob's Burgers") are penning the project, which has a pilot presentation order. Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope will executive produce alongside the duo via their 20th Century Fox Television-based Chernin Entertainment. Brand and his Branded Films partners Nik Linnen and Beau Bauman likewise will receive executive producing credits. Earlier today, Brand received a six-episode order for an unscripted late night series from the network. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED SARAH SILVERMAN PROJECT (NBC) - Ken Kwapis ("Outsourced") has been tapped to direct the comedy pilot, which stars Silverman as "a woman readjusting to the single life after a decade-long live-in relationship." He'll work from a script by Silverman, Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder. Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo and Ron Howard are also executive producing via their 20th Century Fox Television-based Imagine Television. Additionally, Kwapis and his In Cahoots banner have signed a one-year, first look deal with Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
