EX-LOVERS REUNITE ON MTV'S "THE CHALLENGE: BATTLE OF THE EXES," PREMIERING ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25 AT 10:00 P.M. ET/PT
New York, NY - January 12, 2012 - Contestants face off in what promises to be the most difficult and awkward challenge of all-time as MTV reunites ex-lovers on "The Challenge: Battle of the Exes," premiering on Wednesday, January 25 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. Adding a complex new layer to this season, emotions run high as all logic and strategy go out the window when former flames and flings are paired up in the most thrilling Challenge yet when "Battle of the Exes" takes the competition to new heights. Each team is comprised of former lovers - many of whom cannot stand to be in the same room with one another. The premiere kicks off with a challenge that leaves the exes in a "sticky" situation, and one couple is sent packing with no chance of rekindling their romance. Will romantic feelings emerge for some as the action gets hot or will the feelings of betrayal and resentment return stronger than ever for others as these exes battle it out for the grand prize of $300,000? Let the drama begin!
This season, with TJ Lavin as host, "The Challenge: Battle of the Exes," brings together 13 pairs of former lovers in the exotic Dominican Republic, as they come together to compete for $300,000 in cash prizes. This Challenge is unlike any other yet, as these former lovers will have to get beyond their past issues and the added emotional pressure that comes along with being in close proximity with your ex, to work together for the ultimate prize. Will CT and Diem, who have a long standing history, reignite their flame? Will Sarah and Vinny, who had a one night stand, take their relationship to the next level? Or will Jasmine and Tyrie, who can't stand the sight of each other, be able to last the entire competition? Watch as these exes try to put the past behind them.
