CMT'S FAVORITE FAMILY IS GOING INTERNATIONAL WHEN SEASON TWO OF "MY BIG REDNECK VACATION" PREMIERES WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6 AT 10:30 P.M., ET/PT
Tom Arnold Returns to Host CMT's Highest Rated Original Series
As the Clampet Family Travels to England
NASHVILLE - May 10, 2012 - CMT's favorite rowdy rednecks are gearing up for another family vacation, this time trading in 'coon meat and a ritzy Hamptons vacation home for fish and chips and a fancy British estate, when the Clampet's head to England for season two of MY BIG REDNECK VACATION premiering Wednesday, June 6 at 10:30 p.m., ET/PT immediately following the 2012 CMT MUSIC AWARDS. Funnyman Tom Arnold also returns as host this season, giving his two cents on how the Clampet's are adapting to their new lifestyle full of butlers, aristocrats and all things foreign. The show will move to its regular timeslot beginning Saturday, June 9 at 9:00 p.m., ET/PT.
Throughout the season, southern hospitality and unabashed American pride are guaranteed to clash with the traditional, formal ways of the English as the family interacts with locals and their very own wait staff. Whether it's traveling to destinations including Scotland, where they hunt for the Loch Ness Monster, heading over to Paris for a romantic weekend, or hosting their own Redneck Summer Games, the Clampet's are ready to represent the South and show the United Kingdom how to party.
In the season two premiere, while packing up their prized possessions for their 10-week vacation in Europe, valuable pieces of information are revealed about certain family members -- newlyweds Jared and Michelle are expecting their first child together, and Tommy and Tammy are engaged. Upon arriving at their English estate, the family meets the palace staff and Roger Tempest, the aristocrat owner of the property. But after dealing with an introduction to bad British food, an abundance of language barriers, and most horrifying, no Bud Light, the family realizes they're far from their hometown of Shreveport, La.
MY BIG REDNECK VACATION is produced by Pink Sneakers. Kimberly Belcher Cowin, John Ehrhard, Lewis Bogach (CMT) and Jayson Dinsmore (CMT) serve as executive producers.
