LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- With its returning dramas locked in, FOX turned its attention to comedy this morning as "Breaking In" and "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" have both been canceled.
The news - first reported by THR - isn't considered much of a surprise. "Daughter" got the hook from the network's Tuesday lineup back in March and a June return date was nixed earlier this month. Meanwhile, "Breaking In" was set to return on April 24, a date that was likewise shuttered.
FOX served up four live-action comedies this season with "New Girl" (6.7 million on average, 3.3 rating/9 share in adults 18-49) topping the list, followed by "Raising Hope" (4.8 million viewers, 2.2 rating/6 share in adults 18-49), "Daughter" (4.8 million viewers, 1.8 rating/5 share in adults 18-49) and "Breaking In" (3.0 million viewers, 1.4 rating/4 share in adults 18-49).
It's not clear when - or if - the remaining episodes of "Daughter" (six) and "Breaking In" (eight) will air.
