STYLE MEDIA ELEVATES SARAH WEIDMAN TO SVP, ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING AND DEVELOPMENT

LOS ANGELES - June 4, 2012 - Style Media has elevated Sarah Weidman to the newly created position of SVP, Original Programming and Development, where she will expand her role to manage all original programming while continuing to oversee development and new series for the network. In 2011, Weidman launched two of Style's highest rated original series, "Tia & Tamera" and "Big Rich Texas," which, along with the return of hit shows "Giuliana & Bill" and "Jerseylicious," propelled the network to its most watched year-to-date. Additionally, under her leadership, the network will premiere two new original docu-series, "Chicagolicious" and "Empire Girls: Julissa & Adrienne" in early June.

"As a veteran of Style, Sarah developed and oversaw many of the network's most successful series-to-date," said Salaam Coleman Smith, President, Style Media. "Her keen insights into our viewers' passions and her relationships with key talent in the community have made her an invaluable asset to our team, and we look forward to the robust slate Sarah has developed for 2012."

In April 2006, Weidman joined Style as Executive Producer, Development and New Series. During her tenure at Style, she has developed and overseen production of all original on-air programming, which has helped the network become the only cable network to over-index in young and diverse demographics. She introduced the first docu-series to the network in 2007 -- "Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane," which went on to become the most watched series on Style that year. In addition, Weidman developed shows with provocative subject matter, including the Daytime Emmy nominated documentary "Sperm Donor" and the groundbreaking docu-series "Ruby." Additionally her relationships with industry professionals helped recruit new celebrity talent to Style programming, such as Cat Deeley, Ken Paves, Tia and Tamera Mowry, Betsy Johnson, Vivica A. Fox, Ali Fedotowski and Chelsea Kane, among others.

Weidman has worked in non-scripted programming for nearly 20 years as both a producer and a programming executive. She served as Vice President of Development at MTV from 1998-2003 and at Sony Pictures Television from 2003-2005. Weidman started her career as a news writer and producer before moving into the role of producer in the talk, game and newsmagazine genres. Weidman also is a published author with the release of her book "Gifted: 1,000 Gift Ideas for Everyone in Your Life" in 2006. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Communications.
