SHOWTIME(R) APPOINTS ROBIN GURNEY AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING

LOS ANGELES, CA - (June 11, 2012) - Showtime Networks Inc. has named Robin Gurney as its new Senior Vice President, Original Programming. Gurney's responsibilities will include development and creative oversight of SHOWTIME original series. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, Executive Vice President of Original Programming, Showtime Networks Inc., to whom she will report, and David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

"Robin is a great get for us," said Levine. "Her passion, her talent, her instincts and her experience make her a magnet for great writing and a perfect addition to the outstanding creative executives that I am so grateful to work with here at SHOWTIME."

"Robin and I had a great, creative working relationship for five years at Imagine," commented Nevins. "I am so thrilled to finally have an opportunity to work together here at SHOWTIME."

Prior to joining SHOWTIME, Gurney was Senior Executive Vice President of development and production for Imagine Television. During her seven-year tenure at Imagine, Gurney worked on the development and on-going creative supervision of such acclaimed series as "Friday Night Lights," "Shark," "Lie To Me," "Friends With Benefits," and ABC's new fall comedy "How To Live With Your Parents For The Rest Of Your Life." Her new position at SHOWTIME reunites her with Nevins, her former boss at Imagine TV for five years during his tenure there as President.

Previously, Gurney served as Senior Vice President of development at Berlanti-Liddell, the Warner Bros. based production company headed by producers Greg Berlanti and Mickey Liddell, where she oversaw development on such projects as the drama series "Jack & Bobby." Before that she was Senior Vice President of development for Francis Ford Coppola's production company American Zoetrope based at Sony, where she developed such projects as "4400" and "Platinum." Gurney headed drama development at UPN in 2000, and also worked in production for Paramount Network Television and CBS. Creating digital content and producing theater preceded her work in television.

Gurney resides in Venice and will be based in Showtime Networks' West Coast headquarters.
