LEADING DAYTIME TALK SHOWS "MAURY," "THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW" AND "THE STEVE WILKOS SHOW" SOLD TO BROADCAST STATIONS THROUGH 2016
The Nationally Syndicated Shows Have Been Renewed for Additional Seasons in Over 60% of the U.S. with Broadcast Station Groups Including Tribune, Sinclair and Hearst
Stamford, CT - June 15, 2012 - NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution hit talk show franchises "Maury," "The Jerry Springer Show" and "The Steve Wilkos Show," have all been sold through September 2016 to station groups including Tribune, Sinclair, Hearst and Sunbeam, it was announced today by Barry Wallach, President, NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution.
All three talk shows have been extended for an additional two seasons beyond the existing deal which will keep them in national syndication for at least four more seasons through 2016. The shows now have been sold for the additional two seasons (2014-2016) to top stations representing over 60% of the U.S. which include WPIX New York, KTLA Los Angeles, WGN Chicago, WPHL Philadelphia, WLVI Boston, KDAF Dallas, WPGH Pittsburgh, WTTE Columbus and WKCF Orlando.

"Maury" in its 14th season in national syndication continues to deliver more than 3.3 million daily viewers for the 2011/12 season and is the #1 rated talk show among Women 18-34 (1.7), Women 18-49 (1.6), Women 25-54 (1.6), Adults 18-34 (1.2), Adults 18-49 (1.3) and Adults 25-54 (1.3)*. Additionally, this season "Maury" has been the #1 syndicated talk show for 53 consecutive weeks among Women 18-34, Women 18-49, Adults 18-34, and Adults 18-49. "Maury" continues to show strong success in the syndicated talk show marketplace by delivering strong year-to-year audience growth among Households (+14%), Total Viewers (9%), Women 18-34 (+13%), Women 18-49 (+7%), Women 25-54 (+14%), Adults 18-34 (+9%), Adults 18-49 (+8%), and Adults 25-54 (+8%).
Having debuted on Sept. 20, 1991, "The Jerry Springer Show" remains hugely popular and has outlasted over 70 talk shows (including "Oprah"). With an average of 2.1 million daily viewers, "The Jerry Springer Show" attracts a wide audience of both men and women, and draws in the highest concentration of Men 18-49 and Men 25-54 among all syndicated talk shows. For the 2011-12 season "The Jerry Springer Show" is delivering strong year-to-year ratings growth among Households (+7%), Total Viewers (+2%), Women 18-49 (+13%), and Women 25-54 (+13%). This makes the third season in a row that Jerry Springer has delivered unprecedented year-to-year ratings growth going in to its 22nd season.
For the 2011/12 season, "The Steve Wilkos Show" is averaging 1.8 million daily viewers with 50% of his audience deriving from the advertiser friendly Adults 25-54 demographic. "The Steve Wilkos Show" is equaling last season as its highest rated season on record with ratings increases of +44% among Households, +43% among Total Viewers, +41% among Women 18-34, +30% among Women 18-49, and +31% and Women 25-54 vs. its premiere season of 2007-08.
"Maury," The Jerry Springer Show" and "The Steve Wilkos Show" are taped in front of live studio audiences at the Stamford Media Center in Stamford, CT. Paul Faulhaber is the executive producer on "Maury" as well as the upcoming new talk show "Trisha Goddard." Rachelle Wilkos is the executive producer for both "The Jerry Springer Show" and "The Steve Wilkos Show." All four talk shows are produced by Stamford Media Center and Production LLC and distributed in the U.S. by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution.
