NBC News and TV One Confirm Guests and Panelists for 2012 Democratic National Convention Coverage

NBC NEWS AND TV ONE CONFIRM GUESTS AND PANELISTS FOR 2012 DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION COVERAGE

Line-up Includes: Valerie Jarrett, Marc Morial, Deval Patrick and Emmanuel Cleaver II

SILVER SPRING, MD, SEPTEMBER 5, 2012 - NBC News, a leading source of global news and information, and TV One, which entertains, informs and inspires Black adult viewers, have confirmed the contributors and panelists for their TV One: One Vote Matters coverage of the 2012 Democratic National Convention. These contributors will join NBC News' Craig Melvin, who will anchor the evening of coverage from NBC's Washington, DC studios, and TV One's Washington Watch host Roland Martin, who will round out coverage with contributing segments and analysis.

For Democratic National Convention coverage, Thursday, September 6th from 8:00pm-12:00am ET:

Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to President Obama, Deval Patrick, Democratic governor of Massachusetts, Marc Morial, CEO of the National Urban League and former Mayor of New Orleans, Emmanuel Cleaver II, Democratic congressman serving Missouri's Fifth District and chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, Mayor of Charlotte, NC , Anthony Foxx, Dr. Steve Perry, founder of Capital Preparatory Magnet School and author, Hill Harper, actor, author and political advocate, and Mikki Taylor, former beauty and cover director, ESSENCE, have been confirmed as guests. Tara Wall, a Mitt Romney campaign advisor, will provide the Republican National Committee's response.

Karen Finney, MSNBC political analyst and former DNC strategist, Robert Traynham, Washington D.C. Bureau Chief for The Comcast Network, political analyst and associate professorial lecturer at George Washington University, and Mark Morial have been confirmed as roundtable panelists.
