CMT Edge to Tape More than a Dozen Performances this Week with Artists Including

NASHVILLE - September 10, 2012 - CMT has unveiled its new website dedicated to music discovery with the launch of CMTedge.com, a site dedicated to showcasing the best new music from a multitude of established, emerging and indie artists across genres. The site will feature exclusive music previews, world premieres and performances throughout the week with artists including The Avett Brothers, Trampled By Turtles, Sara Watkins and Dwight Yoakam. In celebration, CMT Edge will also tape performances with more than a dozen artists scheduled to perform in Nashville this week as part of the Americana Music Festival & Conference, including Brandi Carlile, Justin Townes Earle, Jason Isbell, Punch Brothers and Turnpike Troubadors.
Exclusive content on the site this week includes:
· Monday, September 10 - Trampled By Turtles deliver new performances from the sidewalks of Nashville in a new episode of CONCRETE COUNTRY.
· Monday, September 10 - Be the first to hear "It's Never Alright" from Dwight Yoakam's highly-anticipated album 3 Pears (on sale September 18), co-written by Pistol Annies' Ashley Monroe.
· Tuesday, September 11 - CMT Edge will world premiere Sara Watkins' new video "When It Pleases You."
· Friday, September 14 - In conjunction with CMT Edge, CMT will world premiere The Avett Brothers new video, "Live and Die." The video will air every hour on the main channel, in addition to being featured online.
