ABC Announces November Sweeps Programming
The Alphabet details its programming highlights for the coming month (SPOILERS!).

ABC ANNOUNCES NOVEMBER SWEEPS PROGRAMMING

The ABC Television Network announces highlights of its upcoming November sweeps programming, including special episodes of some of television's biggest hit series, ABC News' "All Access Nashville with Katie Couric," "The 46th Annual CMA Awards" and "The 40th Anniversary American Music Awards," the 500th episode of "America's Funniest Home Videos" and the premiere of new series "Malibu Country."

"THE VIEW" - Headline-making guests, pop culture and political conversations, the return of Budget Week and a contest/sweepstakes that searches for the most hilarious housewife are just a few of the highlights featured in November on ABC's "The View." Lindsay Lohan ("Liz & Dick") will sit down for an interview with hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd, as the actress talks about her role portraying Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor. "The View" continues to welcome eliminated cast members from "Dancing with the Stars: All Stars," and takes a behind-the-scenes look at ABC's seductive new address from the set of "666 Park Avenue" with guest star Whoopi Goldberg. The show's "Red, White and View" campaign is front and center as the Presidential election reaches the home stretch. And on the heels of the successful "How Funny Are You?" contest, giving viewers the chance to step up to the mike and showcase their comedic talents, the spotlight now is on finding the funniest housewife. Plus, just in time for the holiday season, co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck creates looks for under $100 during popular Budget Week, showcasing fashions for less, tips and affordable deals. "The View" airs MONDAY-FRIDAY (11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., ET).

"THE CHEW" - "The Chew" kicks off its month-long Thanksgiving celebration from turkey preparation to stuffing, desserts and sides. Celebrity guests include Reba, star of ABC's "Malibu Country" (Tuesday, Nov. 6), and Nancy Lee Grahn of ABC's "General Hospital" (Thursday, Nov. 8). On Wednesday, Nov. 21, "The Chew" unveils a "Very Special Thanksgiving" when hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz share their favorite recipes, dining etiquette and entertaining tips for the Thanksgiving holiday. "The Chew" airs MONDAY-FRIDAY (1:00-2:00 p.m., ET).

"GENERAL HOSPITAL" - November is about family on ABC's "General Hospital," with family secrets that will change what everyone thought to be true, and includes a bittersweet goodbye. The Quartermaine, Scorpio and Corinthos families are shocked as loved ones return in body and in spirit. The truth is revealed about the mysterious Duke Lavery, while Patrick tries to move on with his life. The Quartermaines' Thanksgiving tradition continues as they give thanks for all that is involved in being a family - the good, the bad and everything in between... the circle of life. The November storylines coincide with the surprising return of fan favorite Sean Kanan. "General Hospital" airs MONDAY-FRIDAY (2:00-3:00 p.m., ET).

"JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE" - Jimmy Kimmel kicks off his November sweeps with First Lady Michelle Obama and Halle Berry before going live from his birthplace - Brooklyn, NY -- Oct. 29 through Nov. 2. Kimmel loads that week with NY-centric guests such as David Letterman, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Kelly Ripa ("LIVE with Kelly and Michael") and Tracy Morgan. Musical performances from Brooklyn include Alicia Keys, Vampire Weekend, The Avett Brothers featuring the Brooklyn Philharmonic and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings. Kimmel goes back to the house he grew up in to visit his stoop, tracks down bullies from his youth to face them as an adult, and even returns to his elementary school to perform lie detector tests on the current students. Sweeps also brings such guests as Robert Pattison and Stephenie Meyer from "Twilight Saga," Kristie Alley, Daniel Craig, Jessica Lange, Christina Applegate, Mel Brooks, Eric Stonestreet ("Modern Family"), L.A. Reid, Adam Pally ("Happy Endings"), Suraj Sharma ("Life of Pi"), Dave Salmoni and eliminated "Dancing with the Stars" contestants. Musical performances by Jason Aldean, Ne-Yo, Morrissey, Soundgarden and many more. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" airs MONDAY-FRIDAY (12:00 a.m. - 1:06 a.m., ET). "Jimmy Kimmel Live" moves to 11:35 p.m. starting on January 8.

"LAST RESORT" - "Skeleton Crew" - In an attempt to end the standoff on Sainte Marina, Marcus and Sam enter into tense negotiations with the U.S. Government. Meanwhile, when a critical system fails, Grace must take command of the Colorado on a perilous repair operation, on "Last Resort," THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).

"GREY'S ANATOMY" - "I Saw Her Standing There" - Aware that Derek might never operate again, Meredith stops talking about the surgeries she's performing. Meanwhile, Richard calls on Dr. Catherine Avery to help him perform a complicated procedure, as things continue to heat up between Jackson and April; and Arizona's struggle to accept her fate forces Callie and Alex to face their guilt, on "Grey's Anatomy," THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET).

"SCANDAL" - "Beltway Unbuckled" - A DC college student goes missing and her grieving parents come to Pope & Associates for help. Meanwhile David is still investigating the Cytron case and gets help from a very surprising source; and in the White House, Fitz feels the pressure as Mellie proves once again that she's a political powerhouse, on ABC's "Scandal," THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET).

"SHARK TANK" - "Episode 407" - The Sharks are taken on an emotional journey with a personal stylist from Santa Monica, CA as she passionately explains why she started her modern day slip business. Also, a man from Folcroft, PA believes his scrubbing tool will make everyday cleaning easier; a pet-loving couple from Denver, CO pitch their dog-friendly frozen yogurt; and two men from Camas, WA ride into the Tank ready to pitch their hands-free, electric unicycle. In a follow up segment, Mark and Hanna Lim from Pasadena, CA give an update on their "Lollacup" drinking cup, which Robert Herjavec and Mark Cuban invested in during Season 3, on "Shark Tank," FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET).

"ALL ACCESS NASHVILLE WITH KATIE COURIC" - Katie Couric puts on her cowboy boots for an hour-long special, "All Access Nashville with Katie Couric," giving viewers an exclusive all-access pass to the homes and private lives of Country Music's biggest stars, including Taylor Swift, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert with the Pistol Annies. Additionally, viewers will hear from Luke Bryan, Martina McBride, Jason Aldean and more on the greatest female Country singers of all time. A Special Edition of "20/20," "All Access Nashville with Katie Couric" airs FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26 (9:01-10:00 p.m., ET). ABC News' Amy Robach and Chris Connelly also contribute to the hour.

"ONCE UPON A TIME" - "The Doctor" - While Regina continues to try to stop using her magic in an attempt to win back Henry's affections, she begins seeing what she believes is a ghost from her past; and when Mary Margaret and Emma discover a lone survivor from an ogre massacre, Emma begins to question whether or not he's telling the truth. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Regina finds herself failing at learning the dark arts from a dark master because something from her past is preventing her from using her magic for evil, on "Once Upon a Time," SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).

"REVENGE" - "Forgiveness" - Faces from the past are reemerging all around the Hamptons, and for Victoria and Emily it brings on different kinds of trouble and significance. Meanwhile Jack's sense of duty grows exponentially, and Padma makes a move that could have major ramifications for Nolcorp, on "Revenge," SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET).

"666 PARK AVENUE" - "A Crowd of Demons" - As Olivia works to put the finishing touches on the lobby for the annual Drake Halloween costume gala, it brings to mind another memorable Halloween night in 1929, when murder and mayhem reigned in the building. However, now it's Jane who finds herself in the crosshairs of the spirit from the suitcase. Meanwhile, Gavin receives cryptic texts from an unknown source threatening Olivia's safety; and Henry meets a media consultant interested in propelling his political career; a jealous Brian questions Louise about her rendezvous with Dr. Evans while she was recovering from her elevator accident; and one of Gavin's most crucial personal possessions goes missing, on "666 Park Avenue," SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET).

"DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL-STARS" - "1506" - MONDAY, OCTOBER 29 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET)

"CASTLE" - "Probable Cause" - While investigating a shocking ritualistic murder, Beckett and her team uncover surprising evidence linking Castle to the killing. As the evidence against him mounts, loyalties are tested, and when surprising revelations come to light, Beckett begins to wonder how well she really knows her new lover and partner of four years, on "Castle," MONDAY, OCTOBER 29 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET).

"DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL-STARS: THE RESULTS SHOW" - "1506A" - TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET)

"HAPPY ENDINGS" - "Sabado Free-Gante" - Dave and Alex go apartment hunting, but their inability to commit to a place puts their real estate agent (guest star Rachael Harris) to the ultimate test. Meanwhile, Jane takes negotiations to crazy levels when she helps Penny shops for a car; and professional freeloader Max shows a cash-strapped Brad how to spend the perfect Saturday in Chicago with no money at all, on "Happy Endings," TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30 (9:01-9:31 p.m., ET). Rob Corddry guest stars as the Car Czar.

"DON'T TRUST THE B----- IN APARTMENT 23" - "Love and Monsters... " - Halloween is June's favorite holiday, and even more so this year now that she is single! However when she discovers that Chloe plays elaborate Halloween "tricks" every year, June becomes consumed with stopping her before Chloe really hurts someone she might actually care about. Meanwhile due to a deep-rooted childhood fear of Halloween, James throws his annual Halloween "Positivity" Party, on "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23," TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET).

"PRIVATE PRACTICE" - "The Next Episode" - A reality show centered around Sam sheds some light on issues in his colleagues' personal lives. Meanwhile, Sam's mother (Alfre Woodard) seeks his help after her boss (Richard Roundtree) falls ill; and the search continues for a girl who went missing from St. Ambrose, on "Private Practice," TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET).

"IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN" - The classic animated Halloween-themed PEANUTS special, "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" (OAD on ABC 10/30/01), created by late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, will air WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET). In the 1966 animated special, The PEANUTS gang celebrates Halloween, with Linus hoping that, finally, he will be visited by The Great Pumpkin, while Charlie Brown is invited to a Halloween party. Cast members include Peter Robbins (Charlie Brown) and Christopher Shea (Linus). The cast also includes Sally Dryer as Lucy, Chris Doran as Schroeder, Bill Melendez as Snoopy, Kathy Steinberg as Sally, Tracy Stratford as Violet and Ann Altieri as Frieda. "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" was executive-produced by Lee Mendelson and created and written by Charles M. Schulz. Bill Melendez is the producer and director and Vince Guaraldi is the music composer.

"THE NEIGHBORS" - "Larry Bird and the Iron Throne" - Jackie Joyner-Kersee tries her best to help as Debbie whips herself into a frenzy planning the perfect birthday for little Abby. Meanwhile Larry shadows Lenny at work for a day, and a smitten Reggie Jackson tries to find the perfect gift for Amber (even if it isn't her birthday), on "The Neighbors," WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET).

"MODERN FAMILY" - "Yard Sale" - Jay and Gloria hold a yard sale to help Manny and Luke with their school's charity fundraiser, and the entire family pitches in: Phil feels pressured to both sell and buy something, Mitch and Cam help Claire assess Alex's new 'boy friend,' and Manny finds an old trunk that hides a secret Gloria wants to see remain a secret, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET).

"SUBURGATORY" - "Ryan's Song" - When Lisa feels guilty for not telling Ryan that he's adopted, she agrees to help him pursue Tessa. Lisa's generosity leaves Ryan believing that he must be dying of "Ryan disease." Meanwhile George and Dallas go on their first date, but in her nervousness she invites her life coach, Tabitha (Jon H. Benjamin), to join them -- which puts George off -- and Tessa agrees to babysit for Opus while Noah and Carmen attend an opera, on "Suburgatory," WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET).

"NASHVILLE" - "We Live in Two Different Worlds" - Rayna and Teddy's relationship is tested when Rayna performs with Deacon at Teddy's campaign fundraiser and a woman from Teddy's past (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) shows up with a secret. Meanwhile, Juliette tries to burnish her image with an appearance on "Good Morning America" and is interviewed by Robin Roberts; Gunnar makes a connection with his publisher's assistant, Hailey; and Teddy and Coleman agree to take the moral high ground during the campaign -- but will it last? "Nashville" airs WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET).

"COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS" - "The 46th Annual CMA Awards," hosted for the fifth year by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET). Country Music superstars Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson, Little Big Town, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and The Zac Brown Band are confirmed to perform at "Country Music's Biggest Night(TM)."

"LAST MAN STANDING" - SEASON PREMIERE - "Voting" - Mike does all he can to persuade first-time voter Mandy to vote for Governor Romney in the upcoming presidential election. But when he lobbies her heavily, he finds himself going up against her older sister, Kristin, and Boyd's father, Ryan, who are just as enthusiastic for President Obama and disagree with Mike's trying to influence Mandy. While they all battle for Mandy's vote, Vanessa remains neutral in the interest of family harmony, on the Season Premiere of "Last Man Standing," FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2 (8:00-8:31 p.m., ET).

"MALIBU COUNTRY" - SERIES PREMIERE - "Pilot" -- Country music superstar and actress Reba returns to network television in the new ABC comedy series, "Malibu Country," premiering FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2 (8:31-9:00 p.m., ET). In the premiere episode, "Pilot," Reba very publicly discovers that her country music legend husband, Bobby Gallagher, has been cheating on her. Determined to get a fresh start and perhaps revive her own country music career, Reba packs up her sharp-tongued mother and two kids and drives cross country to live in Bobby's Malibu beach-front party pad. Once there, gregarious and over-sharing neighbor Kim immediately reaches out with an offer to mentor Reba as she adjusts to Southern California. With a new home and a much more liberal west coast set of rules, Reba, her kids and mom welcome the change, but soon realize that the open-mindedness of Southern California goes much farther than they'd expected.

"SHARK TANK" - "Episode 410" - Seth MacFarlane ("Family Guy" creator; host of "The 85th Annual Academy Awards," airing Sunday, February 24, 2013 on ABC) comes to the Tank to support his friend and horseback riding teacher from Sylmar, CA, who claims he has built a better fly trap. A mother from Walnut Creek, CA found inspiration when her little girl burnt her bottom on a hot swing, motivating mom to create a multi-functional child cover that can serve as a seat protector, car shade and more. Also, Lori and Daymond find the idea of a unique food storage container worth sinking their teeth into, and fight each other for a piece of it, much to the delight of the San Francisco, CA based entrepreneur. In a follow-up segment, Barbara Lampugnale from West Hartford, CT gives an update on NailPak, an all-in-one manicure system which Lori invested in during Season 3, on "Shark Tank," FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET).

"ONCE UPON A TIME" - "Tallahassee" - With the hopes of finding a magical compass that could help her and Mary Margaret get back to Storybrooke, Emma takes a journey with a not-too-trustworthy Captain Hook up a treacherous beanstalk in an attempt to steal the item from a murderous giant (Jorge Garcia, "Lost"). Meanwhile, Emma's past is revealed to be anything but magical when she meets up with a fellow thief who wants to make an honest woman out of her, on "Once Upon a Time," SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).

"REVENGE" - "Illusion" - The ties that bind Victoria and Conrad are tested as they reaffirm their loyalties and commitment to each other. Meanwhile the all-too-knowing Mason Treadwell digs deeper as Emily and Amanda struggle to keep their pasts a secret, on "Revenge," SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET).

"666 PARK AVENUE" - "Diabolic" - The aftermath of the Dorans' Halloween party leaves everyone with an emotional and psychological hangover. Jane, traumatized by the terror she experienced, is even more devastated by the lack of support not only from the detectives investigating the case, but from Henry, leading to repercussions in their relationship. Meanwhile, Dr. Evans, who suffers from a gambling addiction, becomes beholden to Gavin in order to pay off a large debt. Finally, Gavin tracks down the person responsible for endangering Olivia and stealing his property, and is determined to end the trouble or risk losing The Drake and everything he owns. And in one horrifying moment, Jane pieces together how is she is connected to the history of the building, on "666 Park Avenue," SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET).

"DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL-STARS" - "1507" - MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET).

"CASTLE" - "The Final Frontier" - When a body is found at a sci-fi convention, Castle and Beckett are warped into the heart of fandom -- a world of egotistic celebrities, diehard costumed fans and enough drama for two galaxies, on "Castle," MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET). Armin Shimerman ("Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"), Ed Quinn ("Eureka"), Christina Moore ("True Blood"), Erin Way ("Alphas") and Chris McKenna ("One Life to Live") guest star in this episode, which is directed by Jonathan Frakes ("Star Trek: The Next Generation").

"THE MIDDLE" - "The Safe" - Frankie is made an example of in front of the entire class when she doesn't make a good impression on her first day of dental assisting school with no-nonsense teacher Mrs. Armwood (Jane Kaczmarek, "Malcolm in the Middle"). Meanwhile, because Axl's broken foot may end any chance of his receiving a college sports scholarship, Frankie and Mike insist that he up his grades and get himself a tutor; and Sue and Brick think they've stumbled upon an expensive item inside an old safe and try to get big bucks for it from a local pawn store employee (Rick Harrison, "Pawn Stars"), on "The Middle," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET).

"THE NEIGHBORS" - "50 Shades of Green" - Marty and Debbie find out all the facts of alien love when Zabvronian mating season coincides with their wedding anniversary. Debbie longs for a little more romance in her marriage after she learns about the more cerebral Zabvronian way, while Jackie Joyner-Kersee is fascinated by humans' more physical approach. Meanwhile, a handsome jock invites Amber to a make-out party and she decides to go, with Reggie Jackson tagging along, on "The Neighbors," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET).

"MODERN FAMILY" - "Arrested" - Phil and Claire get the dreaded late night call that Haley has been arrested for under-aged drinking, so they bring Mitchell, the family lawyer, in tow to the police station. Cameron stays back to watch over Alex and Luke, but they get into some crazy mishaps under his care. Meanwhile, Jay gets out of baby shopping with Gloria, but ends up having to deal with a surprise visit from Dede, and tries to scoot her out before Gloria gets home to prevent Dede from seeing that she's pregnant and to avoid the potential blowback, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET).

"SUBURGATORY" - "Foam Finger" - When Dalia decides that her dad's fiancée is her new best friend, the KKK (Kimantha, Kenzie and Kaitlyn) are lost without their leader and turn to Tessa and Lisa. As Dalia struggles with her emotions over her dad's elopement, she turns to Evan for support, and it's up to Tessa to help her regain her confidence and friends. Meanwhile, George and Dallas get intimate, but it's not really what George envisions, on "Suburgatory," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET).

"NASHVILLE" - "Move it On Over" - Rayna considers moving on after Deacon starts to set boundaries in their relationship; Juliette struggles with her mom's addictions and Deacon offers a helping hand -- which leads to difficult memories from his past; Teddy is worried that his mayoral campaign will be derailed when his past with Peggy and his financial troubles border on being exposed; and tension with Avery and Gunnar is at a boiling point, as Scarlet feels the pressure to pick her path, on "Nashville," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET).

"LAST RESORT" - "Another Fine Navy Day" - The crew is hit with an attack by an unknown force unlike anything they've seen before. As confusion and aggression take hold, Marcus and Sam can no longer trust their own senses even as they race to save the sub and defend the island, on "Last Resort," THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).

"GREY'S ANATOMY" - "Beautiful Doom" - In this Meredith & Cristina-centric episode, the two friends continue to cope with life after the plane crash and their ever-growing responsibilities at their respective hospitals. As Meredith juggles taking care of Zola with a case that hits close to home, Cristina assists Dr. Thomas on a challenging heart surgery, on "Grey's Anatomy," THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) .

"SCANDAL" - "All Roads Lead to Fitz" - When the wife of a governor is raped, the governor takes the law into his own hands and then asks Olivia and her team to come in and clean up his mess. Meanwhile, both Cyrus and the President are caught off-guard when Cyrus' husband, James, decides to return to his career as a journalist covering the White House, on ABC's "Scandal," THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET).

"LAST MAN STANDING" - "Dodgeball Club" - When Boyd gets in trouble at school for playing dodgeball, which his fellow kindergarteners were banned from playing, Mike thinks this is another sign that parents are raising a generation of wimps. So unbeknownst to Kristin and Ryan and contrary to their values, Mike forms a secret afterschool dodgeball club for Boyd and the neighborhood kids, on "Last Man Standing," FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9 (8:00-8:31 p.m., ET).

"SHARK TANK" -- "408" - A young entrepreneur from Burbank, CA shows how his motorized vehicle suit can take you from walking to driving in an instant. Emmy Award-winning comedy writer Bruce Vilanch demonstrates how a virtual classroom designed by a Key West, FL entrepreneur can teach technology to Baby Boomers. Also, two grandmothers from Yelm, CA hope to make a sweet deal with their sugar free candy chips. And a man from San Francisco, CA tells the real estate-savvy Sharks how his search engine can find homes for sale that will provide high returns. In a follow up segment, Jeffrey Cohen gives an update on his Voyage-Air foldable guitar, a business the Sharks turned down in Season 1 -- but he later returned to the Tank and made a deal with Kevin O'Leary -- on "Shark Tank," FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET).

"AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS" - "Episode 2306" - "America's Funniest Home Videos" will be celebrating the show's 500th episode, SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 11 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET).
