Global superstar Ke$ha is about to release her sophomore studio album, "Warrior," on December 4th. The first single off the album, "Die Young," HAS been exploding up the charts and shows no signs of slowing down. Ke$ha has taken the world by storm since the release of her debut album, "Animal," in 2010. That year she was declared Billboard's Hot 100 Artist, and her smash debut single "TiK ToK" was named Billboard's No. 1 Hot 100 Song, was the most played song of that year, and was the biggest-selling digital track in the world. Ke$ha has had 6 consecutive Top 10 hits, including 3 No. 1 singles -- "TiK ToK", "Your Love Is My Drug" and "We R Who We R." "Animal" has sold over 2.5 million units worldwide. Ke$ha has toured the world, playing over 200 live shows in support of "Animal" and its companion album, "Cannibal." She took home the MTV EMA for Best New Act in November 2010 and was nominated for 2 American Music Awards, 3 MTV VMA Awards and 6 Billboard Awards. She has over 21 million Facebook likes, over 3 million Twitter followers and over 300 million views on VEVO. She has sold over 24.5 million combined tracks and ringtones in the U.S alone, and over 27.5 million worldwide to date. "Animal" has been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum in 15 markets (including platinum in the United States), and was the biggest selling debut album from an international female artist in 2010 in the UK. On November 20, Ke$ha will release her first book through Touchstone Publishing. The full-color photo journal/scrapbook sheds light on her hectic, non-stop life on tour and will provide an exclusive look into the creative process of her forthcoming album, "Warrior." Ke$ha was also recently named the first global ambassador for Humane Society International.
No Doubt has achieved a lot as a band, including releasing several multi-platinum albums (1995's diamond-certified "Tragic Kingdom," 2001's "Rock Steady" and a 2003 singles collection) and a string of chart-topping hits ("Just A Girl," "Don't Speak," "Hey Baby," "Hella Good," "Underneath It All" and "It's My Life"). Lead singer Gwen Stefani has further emerged as a global music and fashion icon via two best-selling solo albums and her L.A.M.B., Harajuku Lovers and Harajuku Mini clothing lines. Through all the success, the band members have remained grounded by a long-standing friendship that began when Stefani, guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal and drummer Adrian Young, bonded by a shared love of '80s British New Wave and ska bands, began performing together in their hometown of Anaheim, CA. Their natural camaraderie, not to mention the musical alchemy that occurs when these four friends perform, is palpable throughout the band's new album, "Push and Shove" -- a supercharged blend of ska-rock, dancehall and electronic pop that will remind people why No Doubt has maintained its position as one of the most beloved and commercially successful acts of the past 20 years.
Nominated for three American Music Awards this year, multi-platinum selling superstar and 7-time American Music Award recipient Usher has been ranked by the RIAA as one of the best-selling artists in American music history, having sold over 44 million albums worldwide. Usher released his seventh studio album, "Looking 4 Myself," earlier this year. It debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and R&B Albums Chart and has received "album of the year" raves. Time Magazine wrote: "The seventh album by the reigning emperor of R&B is lighter than air and sexy as hell." NPR placed "Looking 4 Myself" in their top albums of the year list and describes Usher "leaping over boundaries, Marvel hero style...(the album is) solidly soulful, dramatic in all the right places, heartfelt, deeply danceable, sexy... As a powerful force in the pop mainstream... Usher... wields the kind of influence that helps define what relevance looks like." "Looking 4 Myself" boasts 5 hit singles, including chart toppers "Climax" and "Lemme See" featuring Rick Ross, as well as "Dive," recently released single "Numb" and summer blockbuster "Scream." With the success of "Looking 4 Myself," Usher extends his career reign for having the most No. 1's ever on the R&B/Hiphop Charts during the SoundScan era. He has won numerous awards and was named the No. 1 Hot 100 Artist of the 2000s decade. Billboard named himr the second most successful artist of the 2000s decade, with his career-propelling 2004 album, "Confessions," being ranked as the top solo album of the 2000s decade. Usher has attained nine Hot 100 No. 1 hits (all as a lead artist) and 17 Hot 100 Top-10 singles. www.usherworld.com
