truTV Hit Series "Lizard Lick Towing" Returns With All-New Episodes Beginning Jan. 21

truTV is hitching up a third season of the hit show Lizard Lick Towing. Named after the Shirleys' Wendell, N.C., company, the series follows Ron and Amy Shirley, along with Ron's best buddy, Bobby Brantley, as they brave the world of towing, recovery and repossession. Season 3 of Lizard Lick Towing is slated to premiere Monday, Jan. 21, on truTV.

One of truTV's most popular shows, Lizard Lick Towing has drawn more than 2.8 million viewers in its second season. It has also ranked among basic cable's Top 5 programs in its timeslot with total viewers and key adult and male demos, including adults 18-49 (1.7 million); adults 18-34 (881,000); men 18-49 (870,000); and men 18-34 (470,000). Earlier this year, the show scored truTV's most-watched telecast ever with adults 18-34.

At the center of Lizard Lick Towing is Ron Shirley, the hulking, tattooed owner of Lizard Lick Towing & Recovery. He and his best friend Bobby must go about the difficult task of tracking down and repossessing property, often coming face-to-face with irate owners. Ron's wife Amy, a former champion power lifter, works the main office, where the owners often bring heated demands that property be returned.

Last season during Lizard Lick Towing, Ron and Amy's business was threatened by a rival tow operation. If that's not bad enough, a bet between Ron and Bobby turned the tables as Bobby tried his hand at running Lizard Lick. Meanwhile, Amy decided to return to the world of competitive mixed martial arts.

Season 2 also introduced Ron's trouble-making cousin Johnnie. The two were especially tight as kids, although Johnnie was thought to be a bad influence on Ron, and the two were always getting into trouble. When Johnnie came to Lizard Lick looking for a job, he instantly created problems with Amy and Bobby. The chaos came to a head when Johnnie committed a potentially unforgivable act of betrayal.

Lizard Lick Towing comes to truTV from Zodiak USA, producers of the hit truTV series Hardcore Pawn and Killer Karaoke. Mike Gamson and Jo Inglott serve as the executive producers for Zodiak USA.
