LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC has tabled its swan song for its canceled drama "666 Park Avenue."
Network sources have confirmed the series won't return on Sunday, January 6 as previously announced.
Look for new episodes of "Happy Endings" and "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" to fill the Sunday, 10:00/9:00c hour on January 6, 13 and 20. Said duo will still air in their Tuesday slots on January 8 and 15 but be pre-empted on January 22 for the two-hour premiere of "The Taste" and presumably January 29 for the State of the Union Address.
On Sunday, January 27, look for Hallmark Hall of Fame's original movie "The Makeover" beginning at 9:00/8:00c.
And of course, "The 85th Academy Awards" will fill the night on Sunday, February 24. Programming for February 3 (against the Super Bowl on CBS), February 10 and February 17 has yet to be announced.
Newcomer "Red Widow" will then permanently take over the Sunday, 10:00/9:00c slot on March 3.
[1:14 PM - UPDATED!] A spokesperson indicates the four remaining episodes of "666 Park Avenue" may be burned off this summer.
