ESPN to Present Star-Studded 2013 Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game
NBA All-Stars, Former Teammates Russell Westbrook & James Harden to Serve as Coaches
ESPN will present the 2013 Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game Friday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. ET, emanating from the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Mark Jones will provide commentary with analyst Jon Barry and reporter Chris Broussard. The game will also be available via ESPN Mobile TV and on computers, tablets and smartphones via WatchESPN.
2013 NBA All-Stars Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder) and James Harden (Houston Rockets) will serve as the special head coaches during the Celebrity Game. Westbrook and Harden were teammates on last season's Western Conference Champion Thunder.
Celebrity participants - subject to change - will include 2012 Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game MVP Kevin Hart (Real Husbands of Hollywood), Grammy (r) Award-winners Ne-Yo and COMMON; Pop/R&B singer Trey Songz; Nick Cannon (Real Husbands of Hollywood); Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games); Usain Bolt (Olympic Gold Medal Sprinter); Arne Duncan (Secretary of Education); Terrence Jenkins (E! News, Anchor); John Schriffen (ABC News Correspondent); NBA legends Dikembe Mutombo (eight-time NBA All-Star), Clyde Drexler (ten-time NBA All-Star), Sean Elliott (two-time NBA All-Star); Tamika Catchings (WNBA, Indiana Fever); and Maya Moore (WNBA, Minnesota Lynx).
"The Big Announcement"
ESPN commentators Bruce Bowen (NBA analyst) and Ryen Russillo (ESPN Radio's SVP & Russillo) will participate in the Celebrity Game. ESPN NBA analyst Chris Mullin - who played in last year's game - appeared on SVP & Russillo, February 5, to announce Russillo's involvement.
