"REVENGE FOR REAL"
Limited Series Airs Sundays, February 10 and 17 on ABC
From the ultimate betrayal to a domestic violence nightmare, real life tales of bitterness, obsession and revenge are told through the words and actions of the people actually involved, in "Revenge for Real," a limited series airing Sundays February 10 and 17 on ABC.
Sunday, February 10 - "The Miami Millionaire" (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET):
They say revenge is a dish best served cold. But in Miami back in the 1990s, there was another kind of revenge: it was hot, violent an inspired by envy. Self-made millionaire Marc Schiller was betrayed by his own protégé, Jorge Delgado. Delgado and two accomplices kidnapped him and tortured him for four weeks until he signed over all of his assets to them. Schiller, unconscious, was then put in a car, which was set on fire. Delgado wanted payback because Schiller had cut him off. There was just one little problem with their perfect scheme -- Schiller wasn't dead, in this crime so compelling, it will soon be a major Hollywood movie starring Mark Wahlberg.
Sunday, February 17 - "Rocky Mountain Retribution" (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET):
Christopher and Amara Wells had been married for 12 years and already had a daughter when their marriage began to crumble. Christopher had a history of domestic violence, and by the summer of 2010, Amara had had enough and moved out of their home to live in a basement belonging to the only people with whom she felt safe - Tammy and Bob Rafferty. What made that arrangement unusual is that Tammy Rafferty was Christopher's sister. Wanting revenge, Christopher hired a hit man to kill his estranged wife. Not only did the hit man, dressed as a ninja assassin, kill Amara, he also killed his brother-in-law, Bob Rafferty. He would have killed Tammy too, but she was away on a business trip. Wells' own daughter, who was six at the time, witnessed the murders and escaped to a neighbor's house in the middle of the night. Even though the suspect was eventually caught and pleaded guilty, the survivors still fear for their lives.
"Revenge for Real" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format with a 5.1 channel surround sound.
