Hallmark Movie Channel Unveils Its Q2-Q4 2013 Programming Slate

HALLMARK MOVIE CHANNEL UNVEILS ITS Q2-Q4 2013 PROGRAMMING SLATE AND 2014 TITLES IN DEVELOPMENT TO INCLUDE NETWORK'S FIRST EVER ORIGINAL HOLIDAY MOVIE "CHRISTMAS WITH TUCKER" AND ORIGINAL MOVIE PREMIERES

Hallmark Movie Channel Creates New Holiday Destination with MOST WONDERFUL MOVIES OF CHRISTMAS

Coming off a successful first quarter, reaching 50 million subscribers, and premiering three of its top four rated movies ever on the network, Hallmark Movie Channel announces its Q2-Q4 2013 programming slate and 2014 titles in development. The network's first ever and exclusive original Holiday Movie World Premiere, "Christmas with Tucker", starring James Brolin is part of MOST WONDERFUL MOVIES OF CHRISTMAS, the network's new destination for exclusive, traditional, and classic holiday movies. Other new developments for Hallmark Movie Channel include five additional original movie premieres throughout 2013. The announcement was made at Crown Media Family Networks' annual Upfront press event in New York City by Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming.

"Hallmark Movie Channel is one of America's fastest growing cable TV networks," said Vicary. "In addition to the channel's 2013 slate of 10 new original movies, Hallmark Movie Channel is launching a new holiday movie destination, MOST WONDERFUL MOVIES OF CHRISTMAS, a festive mix of traditional and classic holiday-themed films, including the network's first-ever holiday ORIGINAL, 'Christmas with Tucker', starring James Brolin," Vicary concluded.

The Q2 - Q4 2013 Hallmark Movie Channel premiere schedule includes:

SHADOW ON THE MESA
In the rugged American West, a lonesome bounty hunter hopes to track down his mother's murderer by confronting the father he never knew. When a dangerous range war breaks out, he jumps in to defend his newfound family and their land, and finds long-kept secrets and hidden alliances hold the clues to his mother's death. Stars: Kevin Sorbo, Wes Brown, Gail O'Grady, Greg Evigan and Meredith Baxter. Premieres: Saturday, March 23 (8 p.m. ET/PT, 7C).

AFTER ALL THESE YEARS
After 30 years of marriage, a woman is shocked when her husband leaves her for a younger woman. This shock pales in comparison to the next surprise: finding him stabbed to death on her kitchen floor. When the police name her as their prime suspect, she skips town to find the real killer, and to save her own life. As she questions her ex-husband's inner circle, she finds unexpected allies and enemies - and a growing list of suspects. She must hurry to solve the mystery before the police - hot on her tail - apprehend her and close the case for good. Stars: Wendie Malick, Martha Burns, Andrea Martin and Gregory Harrison. NORMAN ROCKWELL'S SHUFFLETON'S BARBERSHOP
Inspired by a painting by 20th century celebrated artist Norman Rockwell, who is renowned for his idyllic small-town American scenes featured on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post, the film focuses on a big celebrity, Trey Cole, who revisits his small hometown to reconcile his past with his present, and rediscover the lasting value of family, friends and fatherhood. Stars: Danny Glover, Austin Stowell, Kayla Ewell, and Brett Rice. Premieres: Saturday, May 18 (8 p.m. ET/PT, 7C).

THIS MAGIC MOMENT
Aspiring screenwriter Clark Gable sees a chance for his big break when a movie, starring fabulous actress Helena Harris, comes to shoot in his small hometown. Clark manages to catch Helena's attention and is soon helping her in her plan to make a former lover jealous. However, when their fake romance turns into something more, Clark finds himself caught between his admiration for the famous beauty and his feelings for his ex-girlfriend Emily who has recently returned to town. Stars: Diane Neal, Travis Schuldt, Alaina Huffman, Vincent Spano, Molly Burnett, Mitchell Fink and Charles Shaughnessy. Premieres: Saturday, August 17 (8 p.m. ET/PT, 7C).

FRIEND REQUEST
Hopeless romantic, Samantha thinks she has met the man of her dreams, a famous photographer. They begin communicating online and he invites her to an art show in his hometown, a plane ride away. When she arrives, she discovers that she's been communicating with his young son who hopes to find a new wife for his father and that her dream guys isn't interested in a relationship. Premieres: Saturday, September 14 (8 p.m. ET/PT, 7C).

CHRISTMAS WITH TUCKER
In the months following his father's death, a young boy forms a special bond with a neighbor's dog and learns to be a man by helping his grandparents and farmland community through a series of winter storms. "Christmas With Tucker" is a prequel to the 2009 Hallmark Hall of Fame film "A Dog Named Christmas." Stars: James Brolin, Gage Munroe and Josie Bissett. Premieres: Holiday 2013.
