ESPN & NBA Team Up to Document Miami Heat's Pursuit of Record Win Streak
ESPN to Televise Heat-Bobcats Game on April 5 & Potential Record-Tying Heat-Sixers Game on April 6
ESPN is teaming up with the NBA to document the Miami Heat's historic pursuit of the record win streak by televising the Miami Heat at Charlotte Bobcats game on Friday, April 5, at 8 p.m. ET and the Heat's potential record-tying game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m.
"We're excited to document this potentially historic sports moment with the help of our friends at the NBA," said Norby Williamson, ESPN executive vice president, programming & acquisitions. "With the flexibility they've allowed us, we're able to serve NBA fans and our viewers to the fullest."
ESPN will also televise tonight's previously scheduled Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls game at 8 p.m.
The 33-game record win streak was set by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers. The Heat have won 27 straight games entering action Wednesday.
