LORIMER (HBO) - Michael Lannan's comedy - about three friends in San Francisco (Frankie J. Alvarez, Murray Bartlett, Jonathan Groff), who explore the fun and sometimes overwhelming options available to a new generation of gay men - has been given a series order of eight episodes. Andrew Haigh, Sarah Condon and David Marshall Grant also serve as executive producers on the half-hour with Lannan - whose short film inspired the project - serving as a co-executive producer. AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Bill Hader is departing "Saturday Night Live" after eight seasons (NYTimes.com); John Lithgow will replace Paul Reubens as the voice of the White Rabbit on "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" (ABC.com); Michael Raymond-James has been upped to series regular on the parent series "Once Upon a Time" (TVLine.com); Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas have been tapped as showrunners of ABC's midseason drama "Resurrection" (Deadline.com); and Lauren Tom is bound for two episodes of "The Newsroom" as "an expert working at the decision desk on election night" (THR.com).
