CBS PROMOTES GLENN GELLER TO OVERSEE COMBINED CURRENT PROGRAMMING DEPARTMENT FOR CBS ENTERTAINMENT AND CBS TELEVISION STUDIOS

David Brownfield Signs Development Deal with CBS Television Studios

Glenn Geller has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Current Programming for the CBS Network Television Entertainment Group, where he will oversee a newly combined current programming department that supports both CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Studios. Geller will report directly to both David Stapf, President, CBS Television Studios, and Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment.

David Brownfield, who has been head of CBS Entertainment's current programming department since 2004, has signed a development deal with CBS Television Studios. He will remain based at the Company's Studio City lot and begin development immediately for the 2014-2015 broadcast season. Before joining CBS, Brownfield was a co-producer and writer on the ABC comedy "Boy Meets World."

In his new position, Geller will oversee creative affairs for all scripted series broadcast on the CBS Television Network, and for all CBS Television Studios shows produced for CBS as well as other broadcast and cable networks. He previously served as head of current programming at CBS Television Studios since 2006.

"The timing is right to make this move," said Tassler and Stapf. "David has wanted to return to writing and producing television, and the majority of our series are now produced in-house. It makes sense creatively and operationally to have one streamlined current operation to support our shows."

"Glenn is a gifted executive with smart creative instincts, deft diplomacy skills and strategic programming savvy," Stapf and Tassler added. "He is well-liked and respected by creative talent and executives alike, and adds great insight and value to any project he touches."

Geller has been with CBS since 2001, serving as Director and Vice President of Current Programming at the Network before seguing to the Studio as Senior Vice President of Current Programming in 2006.

Prior to CBS, Geller spent three years at 20th Century Fox Television in Drama Series, developing new pilots while working on such hits as "The X-Files" and "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer."

Brownfield joined CBS Entertainment as Director of Current Programming in 2001 and was promoted to Vice President in 2003 and Senior Vice President in 2004.

"David is a valued member of a winning team here," said Tassler and Stapf. "He's a very skilled creative talent and we're excited that he'll still be in our halls and developing new projects for us."
