AMC'S "THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 4 PREVIEW WEEKEND" HOSTED BY KEVIN SMITH, LAUNCHES THURSDAY, JULY 4
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Starting Thursday, July 4th at 1:00PM ET/PT AMC invites viewers to tune-in to "The Walking Dead Season 4 Preview Weekend" and catch up on the series that has been hailed by USA Today as "one of the season's best series," and reigns as the number one show in delivery for adults 18-49. "The Walking Dead" marathon will be hosted by "Comic Book Men" executive producer Kevin Smith from the Atlanta-based set where the cast are currently filming season 4 of the hit series. Smith talks to the cast and crew and shares behind-the-scenes footage from the highly anticipated upcoming fourth season. The first season of TWD airs twice on July 4, featuring marathons of both the original and special black-and-white editions. These are followed by season two on Friday, and season three on both Saturday and Sunday. Each day of this four day event begins at 1pm. (Side note, the black and white editions only apply to season one on July 4).
"The Walking Dead" returns this October with brand new episodes. Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, "The Walking Dead" tells the story of a group of survivors who travel in search of a safe and secure home in the months and years following a zombie apocalypse. The series stars Andrew Lincoln, David Morrissey, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, Lauren Cohan, Scott Wilson, Melissa McBride, Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green and Emily Kinney.

Season 1, Episode 1: "Days Gone Bye"
Rick searches for his family after emerging from a coma into a world terrorized by the walking dead. Morgan and Duane, whom he meets along the way, help teach Rick the new rules for survival.
Season 1, Episode 2: "Guts"
Rick unknowingly causes a group of survivors to be trapped by walkers. The group dynamic devolves from accusations to violence, as Rick must confront an enemy far more dangerous than the undead.
Season 1, Episode 3: "Tell it to the Frogs"
Rick makes a decision to go back to Atlanta to retrieve the bag of guns and save a man's life. Lori and Shane must deal with the surprising return of someone they thought was dead.
Season 1, Episode 4: "Vatos"
Rick's mission to Atlanta is jeopardized when things go awry. Jim becomes unhinged in camp.
Season 1, Episode 5: "Wildfire"
Rick leads the group to the CDC after the attack. Jim must make a terrible life and death decision.
Season 1, Episode 6: "TS-19"
Rick and the group are allowed into the CDC, by a strange doctor. But all is not what it seems in their newfound haven.

Season 2, Episode 1: "What Lies Ahead"
Rick leads the group out of Atlanta. On the highway, they are stopped by a threat unlike anything they have seen before. The group searches for someone who has gone missing.
Season 2, Episode 2: "Bloodletting"
Coming to the aid of another, Rick discovers a possible safe haven. Shane must go on a dangerous mission to get badly needed medical supplies.
Season 2, Episode 3: "Save the Last One"
The group desperately awaits Shane's return. Shane finds himself trapped in a school, surrounded by the undead. Daryl and Andrea search for someone in the woods.
Season 2, Episode 4: "Cherokee Rose"
Shane makes a deadly sacrifice which leads to unusual behavior and self-distancing. The rest of the group tries to hang on somewhere between living to die and dying to live.
Season 2, Episode 5: "Chupacabra"
Concerned for their safety, the group makes a plan - one that Hershel disagrees with adamantly. He makes it clear the group is fine to stay for now, but not indefinitely.
Season 2, Episode 6: "Secrets"
Glenn, the only one breaking barriers between both groups, knows far too much for his comfort level. Daryl finds a sign of life and, in his delirium, tries to make it back to the farm alive.
Season 2, Episode 7: "Pretty Much Dead Already"
Secrets are told and secrets are revealed. Hershel refuses to acknowledge the world's new reality. Andrea comes out of her shell. Everyone is becoming more and more aware that "everything is food for something."
Season 2, Episode 8: "Nebraska"
Rick and the others try to restore order in the aftermath of a terrible discovery. Hershel takes up an old habit and disappears; Rick and Glenn must follow him into town.
Season 2, Episode 9: "Triggerfinger"
Trapped, Rick, Hershel and Glenn fight to survive against new foes, both dead and alive. Shane finds Lori in danger on the road and makes it his mission to bring her back to the farm.
Season 2, Episode 10: "18 Miles Out"
Rick and Shane come into conflict over the fate of an outsider. Andrea helps Hershel's youngest daughter face a crucial decision.
Season 2, Episode 11: "Judge, Jury, Executioner"
Rick sides with Shane on an important decision, causing Dale to worry that the group is losing its humanity. Carl's actions have unintended consequences on the group.
Season 2, Episode 12: "Better Angels"
The group learns that someone dangerous may be on the loose near the farm. As night falls, Rick, Shane, Daryl and Glenn comb the woods to handle the situation and keep the group safe.
Season 2, Episode 13: "Beside the Dying Fire"
Rick and Carl return from the woods to find the farm in jeopardy. The group is split up in the ensuing chaos. With things looking grim, Rick's leadership is questioned.

After witnessing an accident, Andrea and Michonne are introduced to a new community of survivors. As conflicts arise with their new acquaintances, a decision must be made.
Season 3, Episode 4: "Killer Within"
The group is severed and lives are put in jeopardy. In Woodbury, Merle has a request for the Governor.
Season 3, Episode 5: "Say the Word"
After another loss, Rick struggles. Michonne remains suspicious of the Governor as he throws a party with a unique twist for the people of Woodbury.
Season 3, Episode 6: "Hounded"
As Andrea grows closer to the Governor, Michonne makes a decision about Woodbury. Glenn and Maggie go on a run. Rick struggles.
Season 3, Episode 7: "When the Dead Come Knocking"
The Governor presses for information. A new guest arrives at the prison, forcing Rick's hand.
Season 3, Episode 8: "Made to Suffer"

Rick and the group are faced with a serious problem. If they want a truce with the Governor, they will have to make a huge sacrifice.
Season 3, Episode 16: "Welcome to the Tombs"
Rick and the group have to seriously consider if the prison is worth defending as the Governor's impending attack looms over their heads.
