Turner's Cartoon Network On-Air Blitz Premieres Today, Monday, July 15
Viral video sensation Toby Turner is bringing his off-the-wall comedy to Cartoon Network. In a series of hilarious on-air spots Turner and his curiously verbose dog Gryphon have some serious fun ribbing on popular Cartoon Network shows including Adventure Time, Regular Show, Teen Titans Go, Johnny Test and The Amazing World of Gumball.
For a sneak peek at a selection of the spots head over to Cartoon Network's YouTube page. The spots will start airing today and will continue throughout the summer.
Toby Turner, who also plays Nerville the sole recurring human on Cartoon Network's Annoying Orange, has over 1.6 billion total YouTube views and 6.4 million subscribers across three channels making him the #11 Most Subscribed (All Time) Directors. His brand of humor turns traditional media on its head with his send-ups on social media, musical remixes and his very popular literal movie trailers.
"We wanted Toby to just do his thing," said Susan Shipsky, vice president, production for Turner Broadcasting's Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media's (AYAKM) Creative Group. "He is a great fit for our audience and the spots are hilarious."
