Twenty-Nine of ESPN's 37 2013-14 Big Ten College Basketball Games Involve a Ranked Team
ESPN's 2013-14 Big Ten Conference men's college basketball regular-season schedule will showcase 29 games involving at least one team in an early ESPN.com men's preseason top 25 poll. Overall, 37 conference games will be televised across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU, highlighted by 10 games pitting ranked teams against each other.
The lineup includes top Big Ten games as part of ESPN's popular weekly Super Tuesday doubleheader with the Southeastern Conference. Every Big Ten Super Tuesday telecast will feature at least one ranked team with six of the matchups matching ranked teams. ESPN will also continue to showcase the Big Ten on Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the season.
ESPN will showcase Michigan at Michigan State in a Saturday Primetime Presented by DIRECTV telecast and stop by College GameDay Covered by State Farm on January 25. College GameDay is hosted by Rece Davis with analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps and Jalen Rose. The two-hour Saturday morning edition is aired on ESPNU at 10 a.m. and continuing at 11 a.m. on ESPN while the one-hour evening edition on January will air at 6 p.m. on ESPN, an hour before game tip-off.
Big Ten telecasts were ESPN's most-viewed conference last season, averaging 1,852,000 viewers. It was also the most-viewed season for Big Ten games on ESPN in more than a decade.
All games will be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, through ESPN on Xbox LIVE to Gold members and on Apple TV to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
