LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC will debut its new Rebel Wilson-led comedy "Super Fun Night" with its second episode in lieu of its pilot.
"Anything for Love" - written by John Riggi and directed by Alex Hardcastle - will now serve as its premiere installment on Wednesday, October 2 at 9:30/8:30c.
A new air date for "Pilot" - written by Wilson and directed by John Riggi - has yet to be announced.
Shows launching with an episode other than their pilots isn't without precedent. Other series that bowed without said episodes include "Three Rivers" (CBS, 2009), "Do Not Disturb" (FOX, 2008), "In Justice" (ABC, 2006), "The Brotherhood of Poland, N.H." (CBS, 2003) and perhaps most famously, "Firefly" (FOX, 2002).
