"In Guy Code We Trust: The Guy Court Preview Special" Debuts Tonight Following the Season Finale of "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out"
New York, NY (September 24, 2013) - MTV2 today announced that "Guy Court," a new half-hour, 10 episode series from the creator and producers of MTV's "Girl Code" and MTV2's "Guy Code," will premiere on MTV2 on Wednesday, November 6 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. Viewers will witness a variety of cases in this comedic courtroom series - from a plaintiff claiming that their best friend dated their ex-girlfriend to a roommate who refuses to wear deodorant. All of the cases are real stories from real people who have fallen victim to violations of "Guy Code." The show trailer can currently be seen on MTV2.com, and fans can get an in-depth, advance look at the series tonight at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV2 as the network debuts "In Guy Code We Trust: The Guy Court Preview Special" following the season finale of "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out." The 60-minute special will preview this season's "Guy Court" cases, while recapping some of the "Guy Code" rules.
Judge Donnell Rawlings will preside over the court, with trusty bailiff Melanie Iglesias by his side at all times. Fellow "Guy Code" and "Girl Code" cast favorites will serve as lawyers on "Guy Court," with Andrew Schulz, Anthony 'Chico' Bean, Charlamagne tha God, Chris Distefano, Damien Lemon, Dan Soder, Jermaine Fowler, Jon Gabrus, Jordan Carlos and Lil Duval presenting cases in front of Judge Rawlings. Each case will be will judged, defended, and prosecuted with the perfect combination of comedy and justice, as the laws of manhood will be upheld every week on "Guy Court."

ANDREW SCHULZ (@andrewschulz)
Andrew is a native New Yorker known for his edgy, street-smart, unapologetic comedy that relates so well to the newest generation of comedy fans. His youthful energy makes him irresistible to the audience. A regular in the New York comedy circuit, Andrew has performed at Gotham Comedy Club, Caroline's, Comedy Cellar and more. He's also performed alongside the country's top acts such as Dave Chappelle, Dave Attell, Louis CK, Damon Wayans, Tracy Morgan, Bill Burr, Judah Friedlander, and more. Andrew appeared on MTV2's "Hip Hop Squares" and hosts the Music Choice show "Certified." His other credits include BET's "The Rewind" and "The Blog Report," as well as "MTV's New Year's Eve Bash 2010." Andrew can currently be seen on MTV2's "Guy Code" and MTV's "Girl Code."
ANTHONY 'CHICO' BEAN (@chicobean)
Although Anthony "Chico" Bean has only been doing stand-up for a handful of years, has compiled the experience of a well-seasoned comedian. Through his budding success as an opener for Chris Wiles, Chico became a founding member of the NC Comics All-Stars as well as NC's Freestyle Funny Comedy Show. He has performed all over the country at comedy clubs, colleges and universities. Recently he just completed a run in New York City which included taking the stage at the renowned Gotham Comedy Club for the Nick Cannon CBS Fresh faces Comedy show. He was also a cast member on the most recent season of MTV2's "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out."
CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD (@cthagod)
Charlamagne tha God is a star of MTV2's "Guy Code" and "Charlamagne and Friends," as well as the co-host of the country's No. 1 hip hop morning radio show. He has garnered millions of fans for his light-hearted, straight-forward and passionate approach to everything he discusses. Whether it's professing his love for Katy Perry and Rihanna, calling out his favorite rappers on their ridiculous behavior, or sharing his recent exploits, his fans appreciate his point-of-view and can't wait to hear what he's going to say next.

Described as a high energy comic, Chris Distefano acts out a variety of characters derived from his life. Chris has worked at all of the top comedy clubs across NYC including Gotham Comedy Club, Carolines on Broadway, and The Comic Strip. Chris still lives in Brooklyn, NY with his mom (punch line). Chris has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology to impress his mom's friends, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy to impress his mom's friends' moms. That kind of thinking got him on the SNY network as the host of the 2010 Fencing Masters. It also got him all the way to the Elite 8 of the 2011 and 2012 March Madness Comedy Competition at the world famous Carolines on Broadway. Chris also was selected to headline Carolines' Breakout Artist Series and was selected as a finalist in the 2011 NY Comedy Festival. Chris has been heard on Sirius XM radio and his left elbow was featured on a National Subway Commercial.
DAMIEN LEMON (@dlemoncomedy)
Damien has been featured on MTV 2's Hip Hop Squares and performed stand-up on Russell Simmons: The Ruckus on Comedy Central. He will also appear in the upcoming film The Amazing Spiderman on SONY Pictures Entertainment. His comedy career began from his seat in the back of public school classrooms over 20 years ago and continued at his college alma mater, Clark Atlanta University, where he fine-tuned his ability to make people laugh until they cough and choke. He has rapidly built a name for himself on the New York City comedy circuit and beyond. On stage, his material comes from everywhere and nowhere, from fornicating politicians driving up sex prices to the "Stop BCC'N!" campaign, and is delivered with a flair that can best be described as an all-inclusive bug-out session.

Originally from Aurora, CO, Dan Soder started doing stand-up at age 21 while attending the University of Arizona. After two years of playing clubs and casinos all over the southwest, Dan decided he'd had enough of extreme heat and venomous animals, so he moved to New York to get serious about stand-up. After living in New York for 6 years, Dan has been featured on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham", Conan, and appeared on Opie and Anthony. This year you can see him on Comedy Central's The Half Hour and also see his commentary as a new cast member of MTV2's "Guy Code."

Donnell Rawlings is an overnight success a decade in the making. You've seen him on Comedy Central's critically celebrated Chappelle's Show as 'Ashy Larry' and as Day-Day Price on HBO's Emmy-Award winning series The Wire. His unique brand of observational humor earned Donnell co-hosting duties on Power 105's (NY's #1 Hip Hop and R&B radio station) morning show "Egypt and Ashy in the Morning". He is now co-hosting "The Big Tigger Morning Show" on WPGC in Washington DC. Currently, Donnell can be seen regularly on E!'s hit show Chelsea Lately and MTV's Hatin.' His new 1 hour stand-up special Ashy to Classy premiered on Comedy Central October 23, 2010. Additionally, Donnell has starred in Reality Bites Back for Comedy Central and tours heavily with his stand up dates.

Shortly after moving to New York, Fowler began making a name for himself as an up-and-coming comedian. His talents were recognized in the New York Post's "50 Funniest Jokes," alongside comic legends David Letterman and Jay Leno. Fowler has performed in numerous festivals such as Just for Laughs: Montreal, where he was featured as a New Face, and the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival where he took home the prestigious Rooftop Comedy Silver Nail Award. He has also performed as a finalist in NBC's Stand Up for Diversity, toured with Comedy Central and was chosen for ABC's 10th Annual Diversity Showcase. Currently, he is a regular feature on CollegeHumor.com and stars in the viral sensation HOMO THUGS, as well as MTV2's "Guy Code."

Jon Gabrus can next be seen in HBO's "Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight" alongside Ben Walker; as the lead in the Yahoo Comedy "The Fuzz;" and in the SXSW breakout comedy "Awful Nice." He has appeared on NBC's "30 Rock" and has guest starred on ABC's "Happy Endings." Jon hosted MTV's "The Substitute" for two seasons, the Comedy Central pilot "Highdeas" and his own show, "Gabrus on Rugby" for BBC-America. He can regularly be seen dispensing his comedic wit on MTV2's hit shows "Guy Code," and "Girl Code," Fuse's "Hoppus on Music" and History's "I Love the 1880's." Jon has written for the Spike TV "Video Game Awards," College Humor, Atom and recently sold two pilots to Comedy Central with himself and partner Justin Tyler starring. Jon can be seen performing weekly at the UCB theatre in LA.

A former advertising executive, Jordan was in the IMPROVIDENCE comedy group at Brown University before deciding to pursue comedy full time. Jordan was a writer for the 2009 CBS Diversity Program and his stand up has been featured at The Montreal Comedy Festival's JUST FOR LAUGHS New Faces category. He has been in numerous commercials, and has been featured on THE COLBERT REPORT as Steven's "black friend." He has appeared in the Kevin Smith's COP OUT, was a sketch player for Comedy Central's MICHAEL & MICHAEL HAVE ISSUES and regularly appears in CollegeHumor.com original videos and can be seen on MTV2's GUY CODE. Jordan was a series regular on MTV and Doug Liman's I JUST WANT MY PANTS BACK and worked with Comedy Central for their INDECISION 2012 campaign.
LIL DUVAL (@lilduval)
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Roland Powell adopted the stage name "Lil Duval" to pay homage to his hometown Duval county. Powell got his start doing stand-up in Atlanta where he became a regular at the Uptown Comedy Corner. After performing at the Oakland Bay Area Competition in 2001, Powell was approached by Cedric the Entertainer's road manager and was invited to perform on the Budweiser tour with Cedric, as well as the television special Cedric the Entertainer: Starting Lineup. In 2003, he released the underground comedy DVD Dat Boy Funny. Soon after, Powell became a regular featured performer on 3 seasons of BET's ComicView. In 2005, Powell released his second DVD Put Your Hands on Me and appeared in Three 6 Mafia's independent film, Choices II: The Setup. In addition to stand-up comedy, Powell also writes for Ozone magazine and has appeared in music videos for T.I., Big Kuntry King, Yung Joc, and Young Jeezy.

Melanie Iglesias is a born-and-raised New Yorker, hailing from Brooklyn. In an annual search for the nation's sexiest unknown girl in 2010, Melanie beat over 7,000 hopefuls and earned the title of Maxim Magazine's "Hometown Hotties Champion." In 2011, Maxim further recognized her unique beauty and presence by placing her on their annual definitive list for the world's most beautiful women, the "Maxim Hot 100." A quick YouTube search yields a packet of sexy and funny Flip Book videos Melanie created, which drew tens of millions of hits. In just two years of pursuing modeling, Melanie has landed a special edition cover of Maxim, which was on stands for three consecutive months, acknowledgement from Esquire Magazine as a "Woman of 2012? and an extremely notable number two slot in Vibe Magazine's "30 Sexiest Celebrities Under 30? in 2012. Melanie has lent her advice and humorous perspective on MTV2's "Guy Code" since the premiere of its very first season in 2011 and has been a staple of the series ever since.
