THE AFTER (Amazon; W/D: Chris Carter) - Jamie Kennedy, Adrian Pasdar and Aldis Hodge are the first to be cast in the drama pilot, which takes place at the moment of apocalypse. Kennedy will play "a professional clown"; with Pasdar as "a successful Beverly Hills businessman"; and Hodge as "an escaped convict who proclaims to be an innocent man who was railroaded." Georgeville Television is behind the hour. (Deadline.com)


THE MONEY (HBO; W: David Milch; D: Justin Chadwick) - Patrick Kennedy, Dominique McElligott and Laila Robins have all landed roles on the drama pilot, about "wealth and corruption among the super elite, focusing on American mogul and patriarch James Castman (Brendan Gleeson), who wields power and influence to expand his media empire and control his family." Kennedy will play John Castman, "James Castman's dutiful and ethically strong son who is a key lieutenant in Castman's empire"; with McElligott as Katherine Castman, "James's beloved daughter"; and Robins as Ruth Castman, "James's wife and mother of his three adult children Katherine, John and Greg." Andrea Riseborough, David Harewood and Nathan Lane also star. (Deadline.com)


THE PRO (NBC, New!) - Rob Lowe ("Parks & Recreation") is set to topline a potential single-camera comedy at the Peacock about former tennis doubles champion "Big Ben" Bertrahm, "whose career flame-out and misguided investments have left him working as the pro at a tennis and golf club, where he tries to hustle and charm his way back into America's 1%." Director Todd Holland and writers Pete Huyck and Alex Gregory are behind the half-hour, which has a pilot production commitment. ABC Studios and Universal Television are co-producing with said trio, Lowe, Dark Toy Entertainment's Karey Burke and Brillstein Entertainment Partners' Marc Gurvitz likewise executive producing. UNTITLED AARON STOCKARD PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Feature writer Aaron Stockard (The Town) has booked a new drama at the Alphabet about Amy Koch, "a mother who takes matters into her own hands after her 20-year-old son, Steven, is convicted on two counts of first-degree murder." Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper are also on board to executive produce the hour via their ABC Studios-based The Mark Gordon Company. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED PAUL DOWNS COLAIZZO PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Playwright Paul Downs Colaizzo has sold a potential drama to the Alphabet about "a bankrupt, forty-something divorcée and her underemployed Millenial neighbors who make ends meet by chasing reward money for unsolved crimes." Said effort is set up at the ABC Studios-based Shondaland with the company's Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers executive producing and Colaizzo serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
