DISCOVERY'S "YUKON MEN" RETURNS WITH ALL NEW EPISODES!
(New York, NY) Tanana, Alaska - no man's land, just 60 miles from the Arctic Circle. Every day brings new challenges for the 200 people who reside in this tiny village. Overcoming these challenges is the key to surviving. After a bone chilling winter and six weeks of total darkness, the YUKON MEN are emerging from their homes and returning to Discovery with all new episodes on Sunday, October 20th at 10pm ET/PT.
Last season, Tanana had record-breaking temperatures of 70 degrees below. Viewers watched as the Yukon Men scrambled to collect enough resources to live through the winter. While the dark days may be over, the fight for survival is a never-ending struggle for the villagers of Tanana. After weeks of draining their food, wood and fuel, they must now scramble to replenish their essentials in the face of the harsh winter storms.
This season, father-son relationships will be put to the test with new pressures and responsibilities that will be demanded of them. The YUKON MEN find themselves at a cross roads as they grapple with some life-altering decisions. Stan Zuray has always been a proud patriarch and has welcomed the responsibility to provide for his families. But Stan isn't getting any younger and hunting in Alaska isn't getting any easier. Stan's son, Joey, must step up and take on some of the major responsibilities in order to protect his father from the harsh conditions of the Alaskan wilderness. Meanwhile, Charlie Wright is struggling with his own family, as his son, Bob, must decide if he can handle a life in Tanana or if it's time to find a job in the big city. Down the street, Pat Moore must deal with a family illness and a business in jeopardy while his daughter Courtney relishes in her pregnancy.
These YUKON MEN (and women) are a rare breed who rely on their ingenuity and experience to survive this tough lifestyle. As the temperatures drop in Tanana, the tensions run high.
YUKON MEN is produced for Discovery Channel by Paper Route Productions, Inc. Alan LaGarde is executive producer for Paper Route Productions, Inc and French Horwitz is executive producer for Discovery Channel.
