ATLANTIS (FOX, New!) - Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air) and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) are developing a new drama at the network about "two estranged brothers, who - along with a ragtag crew and a billion dollar state-of-the-art vessel - begin a search for the lost city of Atlantis, discovering mysteries of the deep sea along the way." Sony Pictures Television is behind the hour with Turner and his Vendetta Productions partner Jennifer Klein executive producing alongside Nolan. (Deadline.com)

BLACKWOOD (CBS, New!) - Barry Schindel ("Intelligence") has booked a potential drama at the Eye about "a ruthlessly successful lawyer who, after he is critically wounded in a shooting that kills his wife, returns to his job to find redemption in a humbling rehabilitation and relentless search for their assailant." Said effort comes from ABC Studios with JuneBug Entertainment's Barry Jossen executive producing alongside Schindel. (Deadline.com)

BOOTS (The CW, New!) - Writer Nick Santora ("Breakout Kings") and director Gary Fleder ("Star-Crossed") are set to team for a potential drama at the netlet about "young men and women from all over the country as they are thrown into the gauntlet that is the U.S. Marine Corps Boot Camp on Parris Island, SC. As they inevitably collide with each other, their instructors and local townies, these recruits must overcome their pasts and in doing so build their futures." CBS Television Studios is producing. (Deadline.com)

FREELANCERS (FOX, New!) - Mickey Rapkin ("Pitch Perfect") has sold a potential comedy to the network about "a disgraced and newly-single lawyer who, after getting fired from his corporate job, has to start over at age 30. He sets up shop at one of those modern, shared office spaces that are suddenly everywhere, where he's forced to interact with a diverse group of oddball freelancers." Zooey Deschanel and Rivka Sophia Rossi are also on board to executive produce for 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)

LIES I TELL MY DAUGHTER (NBC, New!) - Deb Schoeneman ("Girls") is developing a small screen take on Julia Obst's HelloGiggles.com column of the same name, about "an unconventional mom finds that honesty is not always the best policy when it comes to her new family." Molly McAleer, Zooey Deschanel and Rivka Sophia Rossi will likewise executive produce for 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)

SEA OF FIRE (ABC/Sony; W: Jenna Bans; D: TBA) - Jenna Bans ("Scandal") has been tapped to take a stab at importing the Dutch series "Vuurzee," about how a pornographic film featuring three teenage girls tears their families apart and leads to a disappearance, a murder and host of other secrets boiling under the surface in their small town. Steve Maeda was behind the previous take, which was set up last season at the Alphabet and Sony Pictures Television. Scripted World's Rob Golenberg and Alon Aranya are returning as executive producers, joined by David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Laurie Zaks of Mandeville Films and Television and original broadcaster VARA's Robert Kievit and Frank Ketelaar . (Deadline.com)

THE THREE BEHRS (CBS, New!) - Neal Baer and Dan Truly ("Under the Dome") are developing a new drama at the Eye about "three doctors, all strangers to each other, who are brought together at a prominent NYC hospital and learn that they're brothers. Their recently deceased father was the legendary Chief of the hospital and posthumously wants his children to take it over and continue his legacy." CBS Television Studios is behind the hour, where Baer recently signed a new two-year overall. Said pact calls for him to continue as showrunner on "Dome" as well as shepherd new projects for the studio. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED LIZ HELDENS PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Liz Heldens ("Camp") is back in business with the Peacock for a new drama billed as "a big family saga set against the backdrop of a Texas mega church. When the leader of the Spring Hill Congregation dies, the matriarch of the Strickland family rallies to keep the family together in a show about faith and family and all the complications that come with both." Universal Television is behind the hour with David Janollari of studio-based David Janollari Entertainment executive producing alongside Heldens. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - John Leguizamo is returning to HBO with a new special featuring his latest one-man show, "Ghetto Klown," due to tape on November 16 (Deadline.com); Xbox Entertainment Studios is reportedly on track to greenlight "Every Street United," an unscripted series from Mandalay Sports Media which tracks undiscovered local street soccer players (Deadline.com); Nick Gehlfuss and Emily Bergl will both recur on "Shameless" as "a sexy, dangerous and artistic man in his 30s who is the older brother of all-American Mike Pratt (Jake McDorman)" and a woman "who is the spitting image of Frank (William H. Macy), except more downtrodden and attracted to the wrong men - including Frank," respectively (THR.com); and Seth Gabel will return as Count Vertigo this season on "Arrow" (DCComics.com).
