BRADDOCK & JACKSON (FX/Lionsgate; W: Bob Boyett & Robert Horn; D: TBA) - McKaley Miller and Daniele Watts have both scored roles on the upcoming comedy, about two Chicago lawyers (Kelsey Grammer, Martin Lawrence) from vastly different backgrounds who unexpectedly meet in court on the worst day of their lives. Brought together by fate and greed, they develop a partnership and friendship, forcing each other to find the balance between the ethical and the unscrupulous in both their professional and personal lives. They'll play their respective daughters, Lizzie and Laura. Edi Patterson also stars. (Deadline.com)
GRACEPOINT (FOX; W: Chris Chibnall; D: James Strong) - Kevin Rankin and Virginia Kull have both been cast on the event series, a gripping crime drama which follows the tragic and mysterious death of a young boy found dead on an idyllic beach surrounded by rocks and a jutting cliff-face, from where he may have fallen. The former will play Paul Coates, "Gracepoint's well-intentioned but inexperienced local minister who becomes the town's de facto spokesperson in the wake of the tragedy"; with Kull as the boy's mother Beth, who "is hungry to discover the truth behind her son's untimely death." Anna Gunn, David Tennant and Jacki Weaver also star. (Deadline.com)
THE LOST YEARS (History, New!) - Feature writer Scott Kosar (The Machinist) and producers Eli Roth (Hostel) and Eric Newman (The Thing) are set to team for a potential drama at the cable channel which would explore the undocumented years of Jesus's life as a young adult: from age of 13, "following a pilgrimage to Jerusalem he took with his parents, to age 30, when he began his ministry and was baptized by John the Baptist." It's not clear if the project - which may "explore a theory about Jesus' origins as an exorcist" - will be a limited or regular series. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Twentieth Television has cleared "Dish Nation" for a third season on the Fox Television Stations (Deadline.com); "Louie" multihyphenate Louis C.K. has inked an overall deal with FX Productions to develop new projects via his Pig Newton banner alongside Blair Breard and 3 Arts Entertainment (Deadline.com); Annaleigh Ashford's Betty Dimello will be upped to series regular when "Masters of Sex" returns for its second season (Deadline.com); Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Harry Shum, Jr. will all return for the 100th episode of "Glee" (@MrRPMurphy); Ryan Phillippe, David Krumholtz and Emmanuelle Chriqui are all slated to drop by "Men at Work" this season (TVGuide.com);
James Brolin will return to "Castle" as the titular hero's father later this season (TVLine.com); Matthew Goode will recur on "The Good Wife" as "a prosecutor who befriends Alicia after having a crisis of faith and deciding to chart a new direction for his career" (TVLine.com); Constance Zimmer will recur on NBC's "Growing Up Fisher" as "a confident, funny single mom who lives across the hall from J.K.
