NURSE JACKIE's Edie Falco Becomes Most Nominated TV Performer In SAG Awards History With 20th Nomination
NEW YORK - December 12, 2013 - SHOWTIME was honored with five Actor(R) nominations for The 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards(R) presented by SAG-AFTRA, tied for the most nominations ever in the history of the network. SHOWTIME was honored with nominations for the ensemble cast and stunt cast of HOMELAND, and nods for lead actors Claire Danes, Don Cheadle and Edie Falco. NURSE JACKIE's Edie Falco became the most nominated television performer in SAG Awards history with her 20th nomination this morning for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role as "Jackie Peyton." Falco is a five-time Actor winner.
For the second consecutive year, the cast of HOMELAND was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, and Claire Danes received her second consecutive nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. Danes won the Actor last year for her critically-acclaimed performance as "Carrie Mathison." Additionally, the stunt cast of HOMELAND was nominated for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series.
HOUSE OF LIES' Don Cheadle was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, marking his first individual series nomination for his role as "Marty Kaan." Cheadle is a prior nine-time nominee and two-time winner for his work in film.
