VH1 Cancels "Single Ladies," "Stevie TV"

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- VH1 has pulled the plug on a pair of its originals: drama "Single Ladies" and sketch comedy series "Stevie TV."

"We've been proud to deliver three seasons of the drama, romance and style that engaged viewers in each episode of 'Single Ladies'," the network said in a statement to Deadline.com. "Although we've decided not to move forward with another season, we hope to work again with the talented cast, creatives and producers as well as our partners at Flavor Unit Entertainment in the near future. We also thank the show's fans for their support since the premiere in 2011."

The show's de facto swan song is set for March 24. To date this season, "Single Ladies" has averaged 2.170 million viewers (1.442 million of which are adults 18-49), down a few ticks from its sophomore run in 2012 (2.266 million viewers, 1.560 million adults 18-49).

As for "Stevie TV," the Stevie Ryan-led series won't be back for a third go-round. The show's most recent cycle averaged a modest 239,000 viewers (125,000 adults 18-49) on Friday nights this past summer.
