GOOD SESSION (CBS/Warner Bros.; W: John Hamburg & Matt Miller; D: John Hamburg) - Rich Sommer ("Mad Men") is the first to land a role on the comedy pilot, about Joel and Lindsay, a happy couple that goes to a therapist to help them decide if they should have a baby but quickly discover they have more to discuss. He's on board as Seth Fisher, "Joel's best friend and former college roommate, an armchair philosopher and suburban-dwelling father of three kids with the vibe of a man who hasn't been single in years." (Deadline.com)


HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Peter Nowalk; D: Michael Offer) - Billy Brown ("Hostages") and Katie Findlay ("The Carrie Diaries") are the latest additions to the drama pilot, about a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant, mysterious criminal defense professor, Annalise Dewitt (Viola Davis), who become entangled in a murder plot that will rock their entire university and change the course of their lives. He'll play Nate Seidel, "a respected police detective who is having an affair with Annalise and is caught by Wes (Alfred Enoch). Married to a woman dying of cancer, Nate is furious when Annalise coerces him to testify falsely at her trial in order to discredit a junior detective." Findlay then is set as Rebecca, "the edgy, pierced neighbor to struggling law student Wes, who become entangled in the murder saga that shakes their university." Aja Naomi King, Charlie Weber, Jack Falahee, Karla Souza, Liza Weil and Matt McGorry also star. (Deadline.com)


LOVE IS RELATIVE (NBC/20th; W: Dan Mazer; D: TBA) - Utkarsh Ambudkar (Pitch Perfect) is the latest addition to the comedy pilot, about Nate (yet to be cast) and Rose (Leslie Bibb), a happy couple who begin to see their marriage in a whole new way after Josh (also yet to be cast), her newly divorced brother, moves in. He'll play Deepak, Josh's ridiculously cool work friend. (Deadline.com)


RED ZONE (CBS/CTS/Universal; W: Nikki Toscano; D: James Foley) - Aimee Garcia ("Dexter") and Shanley Caswell (The Conjuring) are the first to be cast in the drama pilot, about Holden Weller, a retired CIA operative who, when a terrorist event rocks Washington, D.C., is pulled back into action, forced to investigate closer to home where the next generation of terrorists are being bred. The former will play Vera Bradley, "a whip-smart, driven and impatient case officer with the CIA's Counter-Terrorism department"; while the latter is set as Holden's daughter, Laney, "a cute but slightly awkward teenager with a lively interest in world affairs." SAVE THE DATE (CBS/ABC Studios/CTS; W: Jackie Filgo & Jeff Filgo; D: Pamela Fryman) - Brian Howe ("Betrayal") has scored a role on the comedy pilot, about 35-year-old and newly single Katie (Maggie Lawson), who drunkenly books a wedding venue and now is faced with the task of meeting the right man in time. He's set as Roy, "Kate and Hillary's (Michelle Trachtenberg) wry-humored dad, who's been married to Connie (Julie White) for decades in an active, happy marriage." Tom Bennett also stars. TOOKEN (NBC/Universal; W: Robert Carlock & Tina Fey; D: Tristram Shapeero) - Tituss Burgess ("30 Rock") has scored a role on the comedy, about Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper), a woman who escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York City. He's on board as Titus, "a gay, larger-than-life, dfwangenuinely talented singer who has never made it to Broadway and lives hand-to-mouth, working as a robot in Times Square." (Deadline.com)
