CARTHAGE (HBO, New!) - Kate Robin ("Six Feet Under") is developing a new drama at the pay channel billed as "an examination of small-town America and how the repercussions of a tragic event - the rape of a high-school girl - can spread past those directly involved, affecting the community and, ultimately, society as a whole." She'll write and executive producer the hour alongside former HBO executive Sue Naegle. (Deadline.com)
FEED ME (NBC/Universal; W: Sally Robinson; D: Michael Trim) - Andrea Parker ("Pretty Little Liars") is the latest addition to the comedy pilot, about a dysfunctional family bound by love and the restaurant they run together. She'll play Amanda, "the angry, spiteful and vengeful ex-wife of John (Ed Quinn) who's been dragging out their divorce for five years and is determined to make his life miserable." Mary-Louise Parker, Debra Monk, Toks Olagundoye, Ethan Peck and Hart Bochner also star. (Deadline.com)
HAND OF GOD (Amazon; W: Ben Watkins; D: Marc Forster) - Dana Delany ("Body of Proof") is the latest to board the drama pilot, about the powerful Judge Harris Pernell (Ron Perlman), a hard-living, law-bending married man with a high-end call girl on the side who has a religious awakening and starts having visions and hearing voices through his ventilator-bound son that could be God speaking to him. She'll play Pernell's wife, Crystal, in the project, which also features Andre Royo, Alona Tal, Garret Dillahunt and Julian Morris. (Deadline.com)
JANE THE VIRGIN (The CW/CTS; W: Jennie Snyder Urman; D: Brad Silberling) - Ryan Devlin ("Brothers & Sisters") has snagged a role on the drama pilot, about Jane Gloriana Garcia (Gina Rodriguez), a hardworking religious girl who, due to a series of outrageous events, is accidentally artificially inseminated. He's set as Andre, "the brother of Jane's boyfriend (Brett Dier), a trouble-maker holding on to some secrets." Andrea Navedo, Ivonne Coll, Jaime Camil, Justin Baldoni and Yael Grobglas also star. ONE BIG HAPPY (NBC/Warner Bros.; W: Liz Feldman; D: Scott Ellis) - Kelly Brook and Chris Williams will round out the cast of the comedy pilot, about Lizzy (Elisha Cuthbert), a lesbian, and Luke (Nick Zano), her straight male best friend, who get pregnant just as he meets and marries the love of his life. She'll play said woman, Prudence, "a free spirit with a refreshingly skewed perspective that Luke finds wholly enchanting. About to be deported, Prudence marries Luke in a whirlwind and soon becomes a part of an unusual family unit." Williams then is set as Roy, "a former college football player married to Leisha (Rebecca Corry), who misses the freedom of his party lifestyle." Brandon Smith also stars. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Michael Chiklis has joined the cast of "American Horror Story: Freak Show" as "the father of Evan Peters' character and the ex-husband of Kathy Bates' character" (Deadline.com); "Mind Games" executive producer Donald Todd has inked an overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television, where he'll serve as a consulting producer on the studio's "Sleepy Hollow" next season (Deadline.com); and Patrick Brennan has been cast as Marcus Daniels, a.k.a. Blackout in the original comics, in "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (Marvel.com).
