NARCOS (Netflix; W: Carlo Bernard & Doug Miro; D: José Padilha) - Boyd Holbrook ("Hatfields & McCoys") has joined the cast of the upcoming drama, an all-new take on the amazing story of the Medellin Cartel, once the world's most ambitious and violent trafficking organization. He'll play Steve Murphy, "a native West Virginian who was a DEA agent sent to Colombia as part of a U.S. mission to capture, and ultimately kill, notorious cocaine kingpin Escobar (Wagner Moura) in the late '80s and early '90s." RECOVERY ROAD (ABC Family; W: Bert V. Royal & Karen DiConcetto; D: Lawrence Trilling) - Doug Savant ("Desperate Housewives") is the latest addition to the drama pilot, about Maddie (Samantha Logan), who has reputation as a party girl who doesn't think she has a problem, until she's confronted one day by her school guidance counselor and forced to choose between expulsion and rehab. He's on board as Alan, "Maddie's father and a charismatic politician." Sebastian De Souza, Alexis Carra, Caroline Sunshine, Kyla Pratt and Justin Prentice also star. (THR.com)
RED OAKS (Amazon; W: Greg Jacobs & Joe Gangemi; D: David Gordon Green) - Ennis Esmer ("The Listener") is the latest to board the Steven Soderbergh-produced comedy pilot, set in the summer of 1985 and follows 20-year-old David Myers who takes a job as an assistant tennis pro at the predominantly Jewish Red Oaks country club in New Jersey and tries to figure out what kind of life he wants to lead. He'll play Nash, "the roguish and mischievous head tennis instructor who teaches David the ins and outs of country club life." Richard Kind also stars. (Deadline.com)
RETURNED, THE (A&E; W: Carlton Cuse & Raelle Tucker; D: Keith Gordon) - Jeremy Sisto ("Suburgatory") has snagged a role on the drama series, which focuses on a small town that is turned upside down when several local people, who have been long presumed dead suddenly reappear, bringing with them both positive and detrimental consequences. He's set as Peter, "a psychologist who runs a grief support group for people in the town who are struggling with the loss of loved ones from a bus accident four years ago." Kevin Alejandro, Sophie Lowe, Mat Vairo, Mark Pellegrino and India Ennenga also star. (Deadline.com)
STITCHERS (ABC Family; W: Jeffrey A. Schechter; D: TBA) - Minni Jo Mazzola and Diane Farr have both been cast in the drama pilot, about a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be "stitched" into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. The former will play Camille, "a gifted computer science student in Dr. Pecha's (Felix Gomez) graduate class who is Kirsten Clark's (Emma Ishta) roommate"; with the latter as "the brilliant and intrepid Maggie, the head of a secret program at a federal agency that investigates serious crimes".
