1970S, THE (NBC, New!) - The network is developing a potential 10-hour event series about said decade "through the eyes of the music executives and artists who helped create some of the most influential music of the era." Adam Levine's 222 Productions and Tim Bogart's Boardwalk Entertainment Group are both behind the project. (THR.com)

GETTIN' SOME STRANGE WITH KURT BRAUNOHLER (Comedy Central, New!) - Comedian Kurt Braunohler is set to host a potential late-night talk show at the network in which he "covers the strangest stories of the day, revealing just how beautifully insane our world actually is." He'll likewise executive produce alongside Scotty Landes and Avalon Management. (Deadline.com)

KILLS, THE (Starz, New!) - Richard House's political conspiracy thriller novel - about "the global manhunt for a British mercenary who goes on the run after stealing $50 million from an American reconstruction project in Iran" - is being developed as a drama at the pay channel and the BBC. Playground's Colin Callender is executive producing the project, while the search is underway for a writer. (Deadline.com)

ROBIN HOOD & MARIAN (NBC, New!) - The Peacock is developing a 10-hour event series "set in England in 1190 and will reveal the history that launched one of the classic adventure heroes." Tim Bogart's Boardwalk Entertainment Group is behind the project, which is set up at Universal Cable Productions. Evan "Kidd" Bogart and Emanuel "Eman" Kiriakou are spearheading the music with as many as 60 original songs planned. A touring stage show will follow. (THR.com)

SO WHERE WERE WE (ABC, New!) - Matt Tarses ("The Goldbergs") is looking to import the Israeli comedy, which "centers on a husband who just wants to spend the day at home, but whose wife can't sit still. So they compromise and go out. In a new location every week, the husband's small acts of rebellion or errors in judgment or bad decisions snowball toward disaster." The single-camera project, which has a penalty attached, is set up at the Sony Pictures Television-based FanFare with the company's Jamie Tarses also serving as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED ANDREW LENCHEWSKI/AARON TRACY PROJECT (USA, New!) - Aaron Tracy (Sequestered) and Andrew Lenchewski ("Royal Pains") are set to team with director Rob Reiner for a new drama at the cable channel set in the late 1960s about "a Yale student with aspirations to be among the be and the brightest, who is recruited by the CIA to become a mole in the secret Skull and Bones society." Reiner, Lenchewski, Alan Greisman and Charlie Ebersol are the executive producers for Universal Cable Productions with Tracy co-executive producing. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED BILLY FINNEGAN PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Billy Finnegan ("Bad Teacher") has sold a potential comedy the Peacock about Addie Burns, "who didn't think life in New York City could get any worse... then she went through one door and it got a whole lot better." The project, presumably single-camera, has a penalty attached. Will Gluck is also on board to executive produce via his Sony Pictures Television-based Olive Bridge Entertainment banner. (Deadline.com)

WESTWORLD (HBO/WBTV; W: Lisa Joy & Jonathan Nolan; D: Jonathan Nolan) - Thandie Newton ("Rogue") has been tapped for a role on the drama pilot, a small screen take on Michael Crichton's 1973 movie of the same name, described as a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin. She's set as "the beautiful and razor-sharp Maeve Millay, the Westworld madame whose seen-it-all-before worldview is about to be truly challenged." Angela Sarafyan, Anthony Hopkins, Currie Graham, Demetrius Grosse, Ed Harris, Eddie Rouse, Evan Rachel Wood, Ingrid Bolso Berdal, James Marsden, Jeffrey Wright, Kyle Bornheimer, Lena Georgas, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Simon Quarterman, Steven Ogg and Timothy Lee DePriest also star.
