DERRICK STORM (ABC, New!) - Richard Castle's fictional hero - a PI-turned-spy working for the CIA -is being eyed for a potential drama series at the Alphabet. Gregory Poirier ("Missing") is set to pen the script with "Castle's" Andrew W. Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller also executive producing for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER (CBS, New!) - The Eye is taking a stab at importing Robert Popper's U.K. comedy, about "the regular dinner experience of a family each Friday night." Warner Bros. TV and 3 Arts Entertainment are behind the project, which has a put pilot commitment. Popper himself is attached to pen the script via a two-script deal with the studio. 3 Arts Entertainment's Michael Rotenberg and Nicholas Frenkel and Big Talk Productions' Kenton Allen and Matthew Justice will also executive produce. Greg Daniels was behind a previous effort at NBC in 2012 with Allison Janney and Tony Shalhoub among the principal roles. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED SARAH WATSON PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Sarah Watson ("Parenthood") has sold a new drama to the Eye "set at a high-tech Silicon Valley hospital with a cutting-edge approach to medicine." Universal Television is behind the project, which has a put pilot commitment, with Jason Katims and Michelle Lee of the studio-based True Jack Productions also serving as executive producers. WE HATE PAUL REVERE (AMC/AMC Studios; W: Adrian Wenner & Ethan Sandler; D: Matt Piedmont) - Olafur Darri Olafsson is the latest to board the comedy pilot, which tells the story of brothers Hugh and Ebenezer Moody (Adrian Wenner, Ethan Sandler) and their struggle to find their place and the recognition they believe they deserve as they live in the shadow of history in Colonial Boston. He'll play Ethan Allen in the project, which also stars Scott Adsit as Sam Adams and Ron Livingston in the title role. (Deadline.com)
